Comfortable even with a back problem, October 19, 2008 I have had a back injury for 3 years now and I haven't been able to wear heels without causing alot of pain until I found these shoes. They are awesome as I can wear them for the entire day and not have a problem. Don't know what it is that makes them so comfy but I am thrilled. I get so many compliments on these. And to think I almost didn't buy them. Glad I did!!

IMPORTANT!! Balls Require Proper Inflation, April 9, 2008 I am writing this review because I contacted GAIAM directly as I too had problems with the size. What I found out was that the maximum diameter of the ball is much more than I thought. When first inflating, quite frankly, you aren't really sure whether to inflate more as not to over inflate and pop the ball. I couldn't imagine it being inflated much more. When I finally found out how much to inflate it I was surprised. I WAS WAY OFF!! Now that it is inflated properly it is the perfect size. I actually don't have it inflated to it's maximum diameter either.
To check the diameter do the following:
1- Find your maximum diameter. It's written on the GAIAM sticker on the ball.
2- measure up the a wall from floor to maximum diameter. Mine was 55 cm. Mark the wall at the height of the max. diameter.
3- place your ball up against the wall and see if it comes near that mark. Use a ruler on top the ball, making sure it is level, to see how high the ball is.
4- if needed, inflate it more and keep checking the diam/height using the mark as your gage. (or deflate it)
You may not need it totally inflated to the maximum diameter. For me, I sit on the ball with my knees over my feet and see where it puts my knees. If they are at my waist I inflate a little more until my knees are about at my hips which will cause my legs to be bent at about a 90degree angle. Remember not to inflate above the maximum diameter.
For those who have bought the ball and have had a problem with the size, I promise...you'll be floored when it is inflated properly!!

I LOVE this workout kit!!, April 2, 2008 This is a great workout kit especially if you have back problems. The ball allows you to do a number of the pilate "type" moves with much more comfort for your back while strengthening your core which is imperative when you have back problems. I have seen dramatic results in my mid section! After 3 children I was getting discouraged that my stomach was doomed. Not so!
Determine the size of the ball needed by looking at the height ranges for each size. They offer Small, Medium & Large. Be sure to inflate the ball correctly as some have underinflated (including myself) and thought they bought the wrong size. The maximum diameter is on the GAIAM sticker on the ball. Getting it inflated correctly for your height is important. I measured on a wall, from the floor up, 55cm (my balls maximum) and made a mark on the wall. I then inflated the ball to about that height. I checked the height by putting the ball up against the wall and, using a ruler on top the ball, making sure that it is level, I checked to see if the ruler was close to the mark. I did not personally need to inflate it all the way as I am not at the top of the height range and found a slightly smaller diameter good for me.
This is a great buy and I highly recommend this kit which also comes with the stretchy band.

Painful!!!, July 31, 2007 I bought these shows because they looked great on. However, after wearing them all day, my feet were killing me. I bought the size I normally wear. I would recommend buying a 1/2 size larger and sprucing up the insides by adding some inserts. There is little arch if any. You cannot tell when you first try them on in the store. I mean you know they are not the "best" shoe but I wish I had not bought them. Just don't have money to throw away like that. Hopefully they will stretch out!!!
