Microsuede Storage Bench - Black
 |
|
Great bench but also a pet hair magnet., August 26, 2008 What IS it about black furniture and cats anyway?! This would have been ideal for storage/seating for my office but the Microsuede must have some kitty allure that human don't get. Plus trying to vacuum cat hair from Miscrosuede will only end in frustration unless you don't care about getting it all off.
Alas, I had to return it through no fault of it's own. (I think I got a dirty look from my cat as I boxed it back up.)

It ain't heavy, it's my griddle., August 26, 2008 Well, actually it IS heavy because it's cast iron but that's a given. I originally bought it for my hubby for Xmas (he's so easy to buy for) to grill Ahi but stole it to do pancakes and best of all, hash browns. (Yum.) The grill side can be a little tough to clean since it doesn't have any non-stick coating (remember the cast iron part?) but so what. Armed with a sturdy brush, it comes clean. Bonus: Because of it's weight, I get a complimentary workout every time I use it. :o)

I'm impressed!!, November 17, 2006 My sister got one of these and raved about it so I had to see what the fuss was about. It's incredible! I use it on my travertine floor plus it has a beater bar so now I can vacuum throw rugs, bathroom rugs without them getting sucked up. The best part is on stairs. It actully brings up the carpet pile. It obviously doesn't have the power of the big boys but it's great for a small job. I haven't run it for 15 minutes so I can't address the issue brought up in another rating but for $30, I'm going to buy another one for when this one breaks. I have two cats and it picks up a lot of cat hair.

Piece of junk, October 18, 2006 I was just looking a low-end machine to do simple stuff like, oh, sew a straight line, hem, etc. I know how to use sewing machines but I read the manual anyway. Each time I started to use it, it jammed up. I'm guessing it was a tension thing and tried to adjust the thread and bobbin thread. No good, it kept jamming so (sew) it's going back in the box and back to Target. I can't believe I'm actually going to try the green Hello Kitty model [...].

Not enough suction, September 2, 2006 I had read glowing reviews of this vacuum. Upon using it for the first time, I'm less than impressed. I have a travertine stone floor and used the brush designed for stone and tile floors. I had to sweep after I used the vacuum on the floor. It doesn't suck up even crumbs on the first pass. Save your money.
