But it's a KitchenAid!, November 4, 2009 I had my Oxo can opener for years before it finally stopped working. I purchased two other brands, both which failed terribly, before buying the KitchenAid can opener. KitchenAid is supposed to be a top brand. I have their appliances, and they're wonderful. But the can opener is junk! What happened? I purchased it three months ago. It worked great at first, but now the gears don't turn, the handle is loose, and I can't open a single can. Ugh! Why didn't I buy an Oxo?
