First off, in answer to the other ladies question as far as using this item for a computer, I am not sure that would work. I measured my computer and it is approximatley 15 inches tall and when I measured both the top and bottom shelves, including the top part that pulls out, your computer would have to be less then 13 inches tall to fit. The lower shelf they talk about that pulls out is only about 14 inches from the floor.But I do LOVE this Armoire. I use it for my sewing and storage center. It easily holds my Husqvarna embroidering/sewing machine, my brothers sewing maching and my serger. The shelves allow me to store patterns, thread, machine attachments, and lots more. It is so easy to use. When I want to sew I just open the doors, pull out the shelf and I am off and sewing. I love the power strip that they have included with it. I do not have a very large home so I can not keep my machines set up at all times. I now enjoy sewing more then ever because I do not have to pull the machines out of their storage cases to set them up, and then set up a table to sew on. Everything is right there. I have cats and those of you who also have them know how deadly thread can be to them if they eat it. This armoire allows me to store all of my thread on the shelves and when I am done it closes up so no curious kittys can get at anything. I would definatley recommend this item.
