Beautiful Table, October 26, 2008 The table is easy to assemble. The whole top of the table sort of floats on the base. So the table becomes wider with the leaf, but the space between the table legs does not widen with the extra leaf. Just something I would like to have known. But over all, I am very happy with the look of the table. I have most of the Avington collection, it's durable and very beautiful furniture.

What a long journey this has been., October 26, 2008 I ordered this item in March 2008. It is now the end of October. When I received my Hutch in March the box had some obvious damage, and there was damage to one side, the backing, and some dings on a shelf. I made the mistake of contacting the manufacturer first. I was told that the demand for this item was high, and it would be a while before replacements would be available. After a few weeks I called back and an order was put in for my parts so when they did come in, they would be reserved. A few more weeks I was told the previous person had no clue and no parts would be available for replacement. I was then told to contact Target.com. This was Sept. I finally got a chance to contact Target, and was not happy with my first reps answer, since I'd waited too long, I needed to contact the manufacturer, Target couldn't do anything. I had to write another message through the target.com customer service stating you obviously did not listen to me, I finally got someone to listen, and I was sent another hutch, with instructions to take the parts out that I needed. So now I have to contact Target.com and get this package that weights over 70lbs back to them. I live in an apartment building and will have to coordinate something with my office and who ever is picking up this thing, not to mention getting it down to the office that is so not helpful. The hutch itself, I am happy with, but I must say, the parts from the second one for replacement, not as impressed with. They seem to be getting sloppy with the newer ones. But at least the part I needed didn't have a huge dent in it, but the finish had some roughness that shouldn't be there. And by looking at the box, one would think the piece would be unusable.

Avington Living Room Collection

Classic for the money, March 28, 2008 I had to start over and I finally got to choose what I wanted to have in my living room for furniture. I have to say, for the money there is so much furniture that is classic and affordable. I have done so much shopping at Target and have been very pleased with their furniture. I assembled all the pieces myself. Yes, I have a bit of mechanical abilities, but really there is nothing tough about this. I used to buy furniture because I liked to assemble it. This was not tough. I had one knob that was not threaded correctly, and I am in the process of getting a new one. For the price, nice stuff. I feel like I have a classy home, and I love decorating.
