Five starsgreat for nursing or pumping, April 29, 2009
Also sold under the name Bebe Au Lait, these nursing covers simply rock! My best friend sent me one as a gift and prior to using this, I was so nervous about breastfeeding in public or even in front of friends. My son gets excited and will flail his arms about and has nearly exposed me many times while trying to use a flannel receiving blanket tucked into my bra straps. I used to hide out in the back seat of my car or in a separate room when out at a friend's house. With this cover though, I know it won't come down in front because of the adjustable neck strap. The boning in the front is a thin flexible plastic that sticks out to allow you to look down and see your child and for them to get some airflow.
I am back to work now and am using this every day to cover me as I pump at work. It is a nice lightweight cotton but substantial enough to not be seen through. I love how wide it is and it even has a terry cloth pocket sewn into one corner to wipe up any drips of milk whether pumping or nursing.
I was afraid that with the plastic boning I wouldn't be able to fold it up but it is so flexible that you can fold it fairly small or squeeze it into your bag. I carry mine everywhere and even felt comfortable nursing at church if that tells you anything.

I highly recommend this. It is very well made, worth the money.

Three starslike it, don't love it, April 9, 2009
Got this as a gift from my registry. I love the colors and pattern. I have a boy but this could really go with either. (I didn't want everything to be blue.) It is a little more pastel/washed out than the picture appears on screen. It is kinda see-thru but since I have a "bare naked" Boppy that doesn't bother me.
Have been using it for nursing 8+ times per day, every day, for 9 weeks. The fabric on the sides where my son's head rests is starting to pill. Unfortunately I only have the one cover so it gets a lot more wear than if I switched back and forth between two or more. I definitely recommend if you have the money to buy more than one cover. Also, the zipper runs horizontally along the middle of the pillow, NOT along the curved seams. Although it does have a flap of cloth over the zipper, it still leaves a rough ridge, right across them middle so I always use it zipper side down. Again, this means more wear and tear on the top side of the pillow.
I've seen other covers that have the zipper along the outer curved seam of the pillow, I think these would be better.
I wish they sold covers with 1)a pocket or pockets and 2) a carrying strap. Try carrying a squirming baby who can't yet hold up his own head and your boppy while going up/down a set of stairs! Pockets would be nice to hold stuff like lanolin cream or tissues.

Five starsrechargeable batt & voice activation are a plus, April 9, 2009
We've been using this monitor daily/nightly for 9 weeks now and love it. The voice activation is awesome. It eliminates the constant static of an "always on" monitor, however you do have the option to switch it to be contstantly "on".
When we first set it up, we thought the voice activation wouldn't work but it has many different channel settings. We just switched the channel settings and it worked almost too well, which is where I have recommendation #1:
You may want to keep the baby's door at least partially closed to eliminate the base picking up other household noise. We've found that even banging pots & pans in the kitchen or the dog barking in the living room sets off the voice activation in the baby's room at the end of the hall. And make sure the receiver is far away from the base, or at least turned down low volume if you are walking by the baby's room. It makes a feedback SCREECH if you get them too close together!

The lights that flash when the monitor picks up noise are great also. The louder the noise, the more lights come on. This is helpful when you're using a blow dryer, showering, cooking, etc. and can't hear as well but can see the monitor. Even on the voice activation mode, it will pick up sounds from mobiles or other noise makers, so keep that in mind if you have these things turned on for your baby. I've found that playing a lullaby cd on very low volume doesn't come through very much.

We keep the monitor on a table about 3-4 feet from the crib and it will still pick up our son's breathing (always on setting)...even farts and bowel movements! Nothing like hearing your baby poop through high quality Sony electronics!

It does come with an AC adapter and a rechargable battery. This was the other reason we bought this unit. One thing we found out after purchase is that the battery holds a 22-hour charge but will only recharge as much usable time as you've had it on the charger. This means you have to charge it for 22 hours to get 22 hours worth of use. Wish it were like other rechargeables where you can charge for a couple hours and get a day's worth of use. Recommendation #2, keep it plugged in at night when it is used the most. We try to keep it on the charger when not in use during the day also so that it will always be charged when we need it to be mobile.

All in all, a great monitor, reasonably and comparably priced to other monitors. They do make this product with two receivers as well, but we didn't need the 2nd. Very happy with product, would buy again, would recommend!

Four starsVery comfortable, seems to work, December 18, 2008
I'm 32 weeks pregnant and my doctor recommended a pregnancy belt because the baby is riding low and the pressure may increase my risk of pre-term delivery. She said just a simple elastic belt should suffice, so I went with this simple and inexpensive option. I like that it does not have velcro. It closes with 3 bra style hook-and-eye closures. It has three different spots on the band that it can hook, giving you a decent range of band sizes. Luckily, I saw the product's size chart listed on another review which I will repost here for you:

Petite: Pant Size 0-5, Current Weight 90-135
Small: Pant Size 6-12, Current Weight 136-180
Medium: Pant Size 13-18, Current Weight 181-225
Large: Pant Size 20-28, Current Weight 226-270
Note that the pant size is your pre-pregnancy pant size.

I am currently about 167lb, was pre-pregnancy about a 10/12 and I purchased the size Small and I have to wear it on the outermost hooks. I would have gone a size up if I wasn't so far along, just to have room for growth. It is pretty comfortable, I forget I'm wearing it most of the time. I have only had it a few days so I can't say how well it holds up, but I only have 8 weeks left of my pregnancy. As long as it holds up that long, for the price I paid I'll be happy.

Five starsgreat buy- hand wash, January 30, 2005
My husband and I selected these knives based on the J.A. Henkels reputation and the sleek staineless style of the handles and the silvery painted knife block. I love how they cut and the weight of each knife. The manufacturer advises that though they are dishwasher safe, you should hand-wash them, which is about the only thing I don't like - although since they are such good-looking knives I really want to take good care of them! This set is very reasonably priced and comes with a good variety including serrated bread knife and even a tomato knife. Have had them for about 2-3 months and havent had to sharpen them yet but the large chef knife gets used most often I will probably have to sharpen it soon. Altogether, a great buy!
