Speakers Great Bose service shabby., June 20, 2009 I ordered these speakers online and when they came I could not get them to work. I called Bose and they tried to tell me that I disconnected my previous speakers and damaged the jack. Whatever. I called my computer service people and they told me to try the speaker jack on the front of the computer rather than the back. Blow me away, I didn't know there was one in the front.
The speakers worked wonderful once plugged into the front jack. The bass was a bit much but I clicked into the real audio manager and was able to regulate the equalizer. The difference in the sound of music on my computer now is astounding. I listen to Rhapsody all the time and WOW was my listening experience sent from ok to BLISS.
Just don't call Bose because they can't tell you anything you don't already know.
