Works great for us- we bought 2!, February 6, 2009 We have bought two of these Crane (elephant) humidifiers and only had one glitch. The second one we bought would not let the mist out of the trunk, but for some reason when we switched "heads" with our first unit it worked fine. We've never had a problem since. It lasts a long time and the mist is steady and plentiful. Ours have not gotten dirty at all... we do empty them after use and let them sit out to dry.
