Kids Ulani Kitty Rain Boots - Pink

heels easily wear through, October 29, 2008 I thought these were the cutest boots, and my kids (ages 9, 7 and 5) loved them, but within one season they all came inside with soaking wet socks. The back of the heels had worn right off because these kind of boots don't fit snuggly, so they drag the ground with each step, and I neglected to see how thick the heels were on these before buying them. I'd suggest that you find something with a thicker heel that won't wear through so easily.

Don't buy a wire or plastic cage for your small pet!, October 20, 2008 We've had our share of cages for our hamsters and gerbils and I'd recommend that you NOT get a wire cage or plastic cage/tank, you MUST get a glass aquarium with a wire mesh top. Gerbils and Hamsters must chew to file their teeth, and they chew on the wire and plastic like crazy!! The plastic tank will only last you a little while because they chew at it non-stop, and the wire cage has the same problem, and usually has a plastic base that they will chew. Our hamster started in this plastic cage/tank, then we saw we'd have to immediately replace it because the hamster chewed the latches right off the cage and kept getting out, and against the pet store lady's advice I got a wire cage, only to have to replace that a few months later. (This info goes for plastic houses, toys, food dishes, etc). I should have read actual hamster and gerbil websites that tell about that. They cannot chew the glass walls, and therefore will be much safer in an aquarium. Not to mention it's easy to clean, and as they dig and kick the bedding around it cannot fall through the sides like it will with the wire or plastic cages. If you have a question about getting a hamster versus a gerbil, I'd say go with a gerbil (get 2) because they are much cleaner animals and are diurnal (not nocturnal).

Crock-Pot Oval Slow Cooker - Red (4 qt.)

burps, but I love it, November 8, 2007 I bought this crockpot on sale also in the store, and have used it several times. It retains the moisture well, but I noticed that even though it has these 4 little indentations around the edge, maybe to help with water build-up around the lid edge, the water still just sits on the lip like a seal and air burps out in random locations around the lid once the food heats up. What I did to help the water drip down into the crock better was to put a tiny strip of foil under the edge of the lid that hangs down at an angle into the crock so that the water grabs on and runs back in. Anyway, the crockpot works great, even when I only plan to fill it half-way. We are a family of 5 and the size of this pot is perfect for dinner with leftovers, or for a big sidedish to take to a get-together. Also, the handles don't get hot, and the gripper pads on the bottom are very sturdy and grippy.

Whitmor 4-Tier Closet Shelves - White (Large)

whitmor 4 tier closet shelves large, September 26, 2007 We received these shelves very quickly from Target and for the price, ease of set-up, and durability they are well worth the money. My 4 year old set them up! We put 2 of these in our laundry room where we come in from the garage and they are perfect for shoes of any size since they are shelves and not just bars so the kids' shoes won't fall through. On one of the units we just simply left off the top shelf so that it would fit under where the kids' coats hang. And on the top shelf of the other we put a large basket for hats and mittens. This was a great investment!
