No PBS -- VHF stations, February 9, 2009 well I don't get local PBS station appearently you have to have an antenna that recieves both VHS/UHF bands. Since my local PBS has been broadcasting in HD for quit sometime I find it odd that I never get the channel unless I us simple rabbit ears.
Guess i will be headed to purchase a good antenna that takes in both bands for I found out that one of my local main stations (ABC) will switch from UHF to VHF on the convertion day. ( be aware San Antonio, Texas this will effect you info found on local PBS website)
Stay informed all... know your stations well and ask questions.
returning this one...., January 27, 2009 .... my old analog antenna works better on the HD converter box. Constantly loose signal strength. My analog rabbit ears that I bought about 15 years ago work better then this item. Funny since my old rabbit ears weren't working all that great so I thought better get a new antenna for the box. I haven't had a problem with the old antenna since. Very odd. Still thinking about going to a roof top version of the HD antennas.
