How do I clean them???, June 24, 2009 I bought this specific pair for my second daughter because I loved the two pair I had for my first daughter. The only problem seemed to be keeping them clean. I still have the two pair from my first but I have no idea how to clean them! They were sturdy enough not to wear out as my daughter learned to walk but they became so dirty! I tried to wash them in the machine and air dry them as well as put them in the dryer but they got really stiff. Otherwise, a really great product and a WONDERFUl alternative to more expensive brands.

Nice material...but the elastic works too well., June 24, 2009 This product is made of a really nice material that is soft and comforting to the baby but the elastic on it is the problem. The elastic is so tight that it cinches the changing pad, almost buckling it in the center. I have tried to loosen the elastic but pulling on it but I may end up cutting the elastic so that it lays flat. I should have stuck with what worked for my first baby, small disposable incontinence pads that worked just as well (though not as pretty) and could be disposed of when an accident occurred.

The velcro is in the wrong place, June 24, 2009 I saw that a lot of parents had complaints about the comfort of this product when their child used it but I noted a problem with the product before my daughter used it. The product says it adjusts up to five years of age, which it does. However, it adjusts with a velcro tab that sits behind the child's head. Unfortunately, the scratchy part of the velcro pushes against the back of the head, instead of facing into the seat. I can't imagine this being comfortable for anyone!

Too small to be really functional, June 24, 2009 I have a two-and-a-half-year-old who needs to be entertained in the car and occasionally must eat something in the car. This tray never made it into the car because it is too small to be useful. I was hoping it would be large enough to spread open a coloring book on but it is barely big enough to cover my daughter's lap. It is cute and looks just as it does in the picture but it is not large enough to be functional.

It only protects against spills and stains., June 24, 2009 Carseats have a tendency to leave huge indentations in vehicle seats, which never go away. I was hoping this mat would protect my seats from this wear and tear but when I received it, I was dissappointed to realize it only protects from spills and stains. My other carseat mat from Eddie Bauer, that I bought at Target, was a few prices more but had a hard surface that fit under the carseat to protect the vehicle seat from the grooves left by the carseat. This mat was just a waterproof fabric. My advice is to spend the few prices more on the Eddie Bauer version, which also has the pockets on the front for sippy cups and sunglasses. I have had that mat for over a year and absolutely love it. I am sending this back and am getting another Eddie Bauer mat.

Really nice with one design flaw, June 24, 2009 My husband put the bed together in less than an hour, even with our 2 1/2 year old daughter "helping" him. He said he found the directions to be clear and concise and noted that the bed is made of real wood and good solid materials. I was a little shocked at how small the bed is in person but it is meant to be for toddlers still using a crib mattress, it is not a twin bed, nor is it made for newborns! The only real flaw is in the way the bed was designed. The two lateral slats that run from headboard to footboard are in two pieces, which need to be connected. This means that when moving the bed, it is weak at the halfway point and not as sturdy. There is a an extra leg on each side (which is NOT in the picture) so there are no worries about the bed buckling under a child's weight but the constuction is slightly compromised by this design flaw. Overall though, a really great buy and beautiful in its simplicity.

Cheaply made product, June 24, 2009 I received my basket after my daughter was born and needed it right away or I would have sent it back. As others have mentioned the bedding is the biggest problem. The padding had pilling all over it and the ribbons are a cheap synthetic material that is scratchy and unattractive. The velcro that holds the hood in place shows from the outside, also unattractive. Also, the padding does not sit flush with the sides, gapping in some places and buckling in others. Overall, it is highly functional but ugly and is cheaply made. I had hoped this would be something I could pass on to my daughter when she grew up but unless I can find better bedding and a way to hide the ugly velcro, it will end up as a cheap yard sale item. My advice: if you are going just for function, it works. If you are hoping for something that will last and can be a potential heirloom, keep looking.
