It Does The Job, November 25, 2007 I have had this mixer for over 30 years with only one problem--I had to replace the plate that the bowl sits on. Really a minor fix that I did myself. I have used this mixer for everything--bread, cakes, cookies, whipping cream and beating egg whites (you can do other things while the egg whites beat which always helps). I also have the grinding attachment which works great. Like another reviewer said--when I got this one, it was what was available for home use. I got my daughter a Kitchen-Aid.
