don't mix match, June 26, 2008 If you don't buy the GE HDTV Quantum Antenna - Silver (24775) with this you will be dissapointed. I have a $90 TERK outdoor antenna on my roof that works great for my plazma, but when I used it on this converter to run an anolog TV it did not work. Lost channels and choppy. Then I picked up the GE antenna and it was matched perfectly for it and I got all channels but one.
Has a nice GUI too with a guide and signal strength indicator.
mighty mite, June 26, 2008 I bought this unit with all intentions of returning it to the store after I checked it out. I have a TERK outdoor HD antenna on the roof that works great for my HD Plazma TV, but when I used the Terk thru the GE Digital Converter Box I bought, on an anolog tv, it sucked! only picked up the higher channels.
I suppose its good to match your Converter box and antenna with the same vendor (GE in this case) because when I pumped it thru this little baby I got every channel but one. I was amazed! no positioning issues just plunked it down.
One anoying thing though is that it has a blue LED indicator thats so bright it lights up the whole room at night. I had to put a piece of tape over it.
