What a Treat!, July 18, 2008 We love our new ice cream maker. However, the first time we tried to make ice cream, we made the mistake of having the fruit in pieces too large to flow through the blender stick. In addition, my mother-in-law had moved the gel canister from the basement chest freezer to the upstairs refrigerator freezer. The temperature of the chest freezer is much colder.
So we made a second batch. We started with the canister in our basement freezer and cut our fruit up in small chunks. And we ended up with some of the best tasting strawberry ice cream I've ever had!
It's definitely a wonderful purchase!
