Terrible PVC fumes, December 9, 2008 My 2 1/2 year old loved this item. Unfortunately I had to take it away from her. The PVC gas-off fumes were so strong that it was making me and my daughter cough. The box plainly says it's made of PVC. However I was not expecting it to be so strong. After doing some research the gases are extremely toxic to children (and adults) of any age. I'm going to think twice about purchasing anything with PVC in it from this point on.
