I bought this a couple months ago and the quality is pretty good, especially for the price. It's not sensitive to skipping or scratches or anything. If you lose the remote, you won't be able to access any of the menus (why the electronics industry started doing this, I will never know). One weird thing is that often you have to press the button twice because it won't respond the first time. This happens with all the buttons but most often with the open button. Still, for the price I paid, I'll live with it.

I purchased this dvd player for the same price listed above. It worked like a charm, did not skip at all, it got stuck probably twice since I had it due to my toddler, pressing the buttons and putting more then one movie at a time. Its very user friendly. u can watch the dvd without the remote, but u can not see the other features on the menu. It is defintely worth the buck

Had no problems at all with this DVD player until it stopped working all of a sudden while I was in the middle of a movie. I tried to load a different disk to determine whether the player or the DVD was a problem...unfortunately it was the player. Whenever I try to play a DVD, the DVD player just saying that there is no disk loaded. What a disappointment because it worked great for the first 3 months that I had it!

I know when the dvd works real well when I don't need to raise the volume because the sound is so clear I could be across the room and still hear the characters in the movie without having to have a several speakers on. Also the crisp clarity is superb. Other inexpensive dvds do not deliver this is worth a few bucks. I read the no skipping that's why I bought it my other dvds made by another well known brand skips quite a bit not this one. Must buy another one to replace that.
