even though I am shopping for a new popcorn popper now I would say I got my monies worth out of this popper I made popcorn every night in it sometimes i would make 2 or 3 batches a night when the kids wanted some we have had for almost 8 months and it is on it's last leg now. True the popcorn does stick under the bar and you do have to flip it right away or you will have burnt popcorn but it worked it served it's purpose so if you into Hello Kitty sitting in your kitchen it is great.

My 3-year-old daughter picked this out for me as a Christmas gift (with my husband's help.) Although I am not a Hello Kitty fan, this thing works great!

Following the directions for the right amount of oil and popcorn seeds, my daughter and I stood and watched. Before long, the bowl was filling up! Just like I did with microwave popcorn, I stayed and listened. When the popping slowed down, I turned the appliance off and flipped it over. A few popped kernals did get stuck under the wire, but nothing that was in the bowl was burned. Virtually every seed was popped. I was amazed.

This thing is so easy to use and waaaaay healthier than microwave popcorn with all the additives and yucky stuff. If we wear this one out, I'll just get another one. Great product!

I bought this popper on sale at the Target store after Christmas and have used it multiple times already. I've never had a popper before, but I found this one to be easy to use and much healthier than microwave popcorn. I also looked up recipes online and instead of using butter I got creative with seasoning. I agree with the other reviews that you have to watch it while it's popping otherwise it will burn, but the popcorn only takes a few minutes and it's done. It helps that you can see through the lid so you'll know when it's ready, and I love that it turns into a bowl. I am happy with it and I'll be eating popcorn more often now.

The few times I have used this since I got it 8-9 months ago it was not completely practical. Some of the pop corn would get stuck under the wire and burn as well as the section on the top of the lid where you put butter (my experience) barely melted. There are better pop corn makers out there...

This product is not a good buy. It burns the popcorn all the time, and is way more expensive with all the stuff it requires. For example: the popcorn seeds cost about $10.00 a small bottle. And the popcorn oil costs about $5.00. Plus it is a big mess! You have to put the butter above, on top of the popper, then place the lid over it and when you to use the lid as a bowl, the butter leaks all over your clothes!! (I was not happy) :(

After we got it out of the box the piece that holds the wire on the base, was broken. So I tried to tighten the nut on the top to secure in place. then I noticed that the threads were stripped at the top 1/3 of the plastic bolt. We did get to use it 1 time by shaking the unit back and fourth to keep the popcorn moving, and will return the popper as soon as possible. My thoughts were to swap for same product, but am leery after learning of the other broken pieces concerning the wire from other reviews here and other sites.

We will probably try same model, mainly because the kids like it, I hope it was just that the nut got stripped while being assembled at the factory and that broke the other piece, but only time will tell...

I bought this popper for the bff for xmas last year and she loved it!! She then bought it for me this year she loved it so much. We are both huge hello kitty fans and popcorn addicts.. This little machine did the trick. I find it to be more cost effective and healthier than microwave popcorn. A bottle of kernels last forever (and I use this thing almost every day). Now I admit, the one she actually got me had a stripped screw in the center (which upon reading I found others had the same problem). This prevents the stirring rod and cap from staying on properly. I did take it back and got another one.. That one was fine. Has been great ever since. I've used it almost everyday for almost a month and I've had no problems except with the butter well. Don't use this (as other reviews have stated) the butter does leak out.. and does not melt very fast.. I prefer mine with just salt or some cheese flavored salt topping. I'm super glad she decided to buy me the same gift I knew she'd love!!

This popcorn maker works as well as any other I have used, and pops almost all of the kernels. Don't use the butter well. It is messy and doesn't melt the butter completely. It's kinda stupid because you have to turn the maker upside down to get the popcorn so melted butter can get all over the place (even whith the plastic cover on it). Other than that, it's great.

I've had this for a little over a year. I make popcorn probably 1-2 times a week. It makes excellent popcorn, in a really quick amount of time. I'm very impressed.
