Beautiful set! November 8, 2007 Reviewer:  Dylan (Staunton, VA, USA)  See all my reviews >

I purchased this set about 6 months ago. I've had no trouble with anything breaking. The stoneware is of an excellent quality; the pieces are heavy, well-glazed, and well-fired. I'm very impressed with the quality. To the other writers, perhaps you were destined to only own plastic dinnerware? It's made of clay, and therefore breaks if you don't take care of it, like anything else that's breakable. My entire set is still intact, without a chip. They're beautiful.

I love them! April 2, 2009 Reviewer:  Zen Addict "Amy" (El Paso, TX)  See all my reviews >

Ok, so I have had this dish set for over a year now (every day use) and I can honestly say that I have NO PROBLEMS. I've read the negative reviews on here, and I have to say that I'm surprised at what some of them are complaining about! These dishes are not FLAT so you have to consider the fact that the corners come up a little bit (how an asian styled plate would look) so you have to be CAREFUL when handling them. I'm not saying treat them like crystal, but if you don't stack them right, YEAH.. THE CORNERS WILL BREAK; it's common sense! I've put them in the dishwasher and the microwave several times, and they still look great. I was laughing at one of the reviews because it said they couldn't drink out of the cups... THEY ARE SQUARED SO YOU HAVE TO USE THE CORNER TO DRINK. I've even had children eat off of these dishes without a problem. Anyway, bottom line, these dishes are great for anyone who likes the look, and knows how to take care of things. If you are a careless, lazy, sloppy, or just a flat out dumb person, these dishes are NOT FOR YOU.

Terrible quality September 7, 2008 Reviewer:  Midcentury nut (USA)  See all my reviews >

Beautiful dishes that I've had my eye on for some time now. Bought two sets, and they crack and break SO EASILY. The black margin of the plates are very hot to the touch after microwaving something even for 30 seconds. The entire back is filled with cracks after only a couple of months use. Sharp edges when they fall apart in your hand. Very, very poor quality. It's too bad because they're beautiful.

Wast of money August 30, 2008 Reviewer:  Jen (Rochester MN)  See all my reviews >

After having what felt like a ton of cheap dishes I wanted something nice for our new home. I wish I looked on line because I would have never gotten these. Three dinner plates and Three salad plates have cracked in half and yes one corner chipped!!!!

Read the Description August 3, 2009 Reviewer:  Colorado Buyer "Tiffany S" (Colorado Springs, CO USA)  See all my reviews >

I found this to be a beautiful and enjoyable set of dishes. For those who complain about it chipping and breaking, they obviously didn't read or inquire about the products durability. It CLEARLY states that the dishes are not recommended for microwave and if you have a dish- washer, be sure to NOT use your heat-dry setting. They do not respond well to intense heat. They are a nice set of heavy dishes and very unique. I have had no problems, having actually done research on them as a responsible buyer should, and will likely buy another set.

Beautiful but not worth it December 20, 2008 Reviewer:  Design Girl See all my reviews >

I registered for these dishes as a wedding present and the first set showed up in the mail with one of the plates smashed to pieces. I returned the set for a new one but did not start using it right away. I got a second set a few weeks later at the wedding and within 5 minutes of having them out one of the corners chipped off the plate so I had to return those. They are beautiful but break easily. It was also disappointing to find out that the large plates do not fit in the microwave. I have one set left but am looking for a replacement.

Very Fragile. Many broken plates! August 7, 2009 Reviewer:  Victoria (West Sacramento, CA)  See all my reviews >

This is a very nice looking set, but that is the extent of it. The bowls are great and the mugs are great, however, the plates break way too easily! I would not recommend this set to anyone.

What ever you do, do not, I repeat DO NOT buy this junk set July 25, 2009 Reviewer:  Michael S. Killen Real Name See all my reviews >

The set looks nice and is different, but it is bad. We purchased two sets of this for the price. All of the plates have chipped or are broken after two months. Small retailers sells better dinnerware than this junk. Target should be ashamed. I thought they sold better stuff, but apparently not. It has two stars for a reason. Please, SAVE YOUR MONEY and heed our warning. Had we read the reviews before, we would not have purchased it.

Pretty but NOT Functional March 29, 2009 Reviewer:  Miss PDX (Portland, OR)  See all my reviews >

I received a set as a gift and was shocked to see how expensive they were in the store. I didn't even know they came from Target. They break easier than any other plates I've ever had and they are SOOO heavy. The mugs are impossible to drink out of. I do get a lot of compliments on how pretty they are but I'm looking for a new set of dishes now. Not worth it at half the price.

They Don't Hold Up January 2, 2009 Reviewer:  Momma To Be "Jenny" (Texas)  See all my reviews >

My husband and I bought this set about 6 months ago. We thought they were stylish and they held up for about 5 months. But all of the plates are now chipping if you lightly bump them on the counter. We've put them in the dishwasher but never in the microwave. I'm not sure if the problem is just the square design or the material, but I don't recommend this set for long term use. We're going to try a round set made of glass now. Hopefully that will hold up over time.
