We purchased one of these when we moved into our new home. Our water tastes and smells horrible without the filter; the difference is amazing. We bought the unit in May and we're replacing the filter now (3 full months later); and I use the filtered water for all of my cooking and drinking. One word of caution, however - do NOT buy the replacement filters suggested by this website - the PUR filters don't work with the Brita system. I'm now having to return the package I bought and purchase the correct filters elsewhere.

I have used the Brita On-Tap Chrome Faucet Filter, now for 3 years and really like it a lot. I had originally used the water filter by PUR prior to purchase and had found that the PUR filters would clog easily.
Having read the comment below, I have not had a problem with my Brita Faucet filter at all and I find it to last longer, much longer then my PUR filter lasted. I have also purchased the Brita Atlantis Pitcher, to have in my fridge to keep ice cold water available.
My average life span per filter is 3-4 months, both my husband and I use the filter daily for our drinking water.

only a few things to say about this filter. compared to PUR brands brita filters clog less (at least in my case). The filter lasts for at least three months and unlike most of the PUR faucet filters, its really easy to change out old filters.

This easy-to-install, attractive filter has its drawbacks: Comparing the flavor of the water to water that has sat a few hours in a Brita pitcher, I prefer the pitcher water. The coupling to the faucet needs to be retightened frequently (or water shoots all over the kitchen). And now, only 27 days after I installed it, the warning light has come on indicating that I need a new filter. I live alone so I wonder how long this filter would last in a family household! Perhaps I just got a lemon?

After doing some research, I decided this was the faucet filter I was going to purchase. I bought the Brita Filter about 3 weeks ago, and I have been very pleased with the quality. It was easy to install and works great. Without the filter, my water had a horrible odor and taste. With my filter, my water is odorless and tasteless- the way water should be! As mentioned in another review, the coupling to the faucet does get a little loose, but it has not caused any major problems. Overall, I think this product is worth buying.

I just bought the slightly cheaper, all white plastic version of this filter (Brita as well) after reading the reviews online. I wanted it because I have extremely hard water that sometimes flows rust colored at home. It took me a few tries to install it- but I think I was done in about 30 minutes- and now it works just fine. I love the fact that you can get filtered water straight from the tap (instead of water that sits around in the fridge.) And I was shocked by how much better my water tasted. Excellent product.

I love my new filter. It was easy to install and it's easy to use. The only problem I have is finding the replacement cartridge at a nearby store. I can't even find the replacement cartridge on this web site!

My roommates and I wanted a water filtration system that didn't take up so much room in the fridge (we're college students). We chipped in and bought the Brita Faucet Filter. We thought it would work because we had the pitcher before and the quality of the water was amazing!! Boy were we wrong!! This filter is not worth one penny. It did not filter anything. When I drank the water, the taste was horrible and my stomach got upset. My roommates were actually afraid to drink the water. I see all the other great reviews for it so maybe it was just ours, but beware if it happens to you too!!

No where on the box does it warn that it does not attach to faucets with the spray feature at the end of the faucet!!! So here I am trying to make it tighten!! Then I see the instruction booklet has teeny tiny letters that have the NOTE above!! Horrible!! I bought the Pur faucet filter when I returned this one and it was installed in les than 40 seconds!! So no, Im not stupid...they should put a big READ BEFORE BUYING somewhere on the box!! Total waste of time!!
