Description

This collection of dishes features a collage of floral patterns in sunflower gold, olive green, spicy orange, lavender and sky blue. Each has a hand-painted, brushed finish with a unique center and trim, offering countless possibilities for matching napkins, candles and centerpieces. Coordinating Provence dishes include dinner plates, salad plates, mugs, soup/pasta bowls, a rectangular platter and a scalloped-edge serving bowl (each sold separately or as sets). I'm in love! I had read a review by one of the uphappy receiver of the Provence bowl and came so close to not making my order, but I figured if I too were unhappy, the most I'd be out was shipping if I returned it to the store. WELL, my mugs came, I LOVE THEM and my daughter wants them. The wash bowl came last night (daughter hasn't seen it yet), it is absolutely beautiful, I can't wait until the pasta bowls come. If you are looking for cartoon coloring this is not for you BUT if you want a little of Provence in your living this is it!

I have had this set for over 1 year now and I have reserved my opinion on them until now as I wanted to see how they wore. Not one chip, although I always wash them by hand. I have had many dinner parties over the past year and the general reception of the dinnerware was "warm and elegant." I will bring my children up eating on these plates because I LOVE the feeling they bring to the table!
-Not formal dinnerware (Buy china)
-Casual elegance for everyday use/informal get togethers
-Quality seems to be good thus far
-Dishes are a bit heavy

I am simply disgusted with these dishes. While they are beautiful to look at, it wasn't long after getting them that I started to notice black mold growing on the bottom (unsealed edge) of our plates and bowls. We always wash them in the dishwasher, and use the heat dry setting, so this should NOT be happening. Dishwasher detergent has bleach in it! I even tried soaking the bottoms in bleach, which did not cure the problem (pulled out a bowl to use last night and there was green, fuzzy mold growing on the bottom). Needless to say, all my "beautiful" dishes are now in the trash. Wonder what these things are really made of?

When I saw these plates I had to have them. Granted, they are gorgeous, but my set at least have not held up well and I only use them sparingly. They chip easily and that's been disappointing. Also, they are not the kind of dishes you want to heat (or even reheat) food in, they get super hot and you will hurt yourself if you use them in the micro. Overall, pretty but not practical.

We received this set as a wedding gift, except the canisters. We love them, but my husband and I are not exactly the most gentle of kitchen people. We have a couple of chips, but we plan on buying some extras so we can keep a full set of 8 at all time. People love them, and they make me smile!

These plates and accessories are beautiful. I love them and they look fantastic in my kitchen. A few things to note - they are NOT made in the USA as it states here online, they are made in China. Also, the red color as it shows online is more cherry red than it is on the actual plates - the actual plates red has more brown to it than the online pictures which appear to have more of a cherry red.

I love this set. I bought 12 of each piece. The colors shown on the computer screen are true. I have only had the set a short while and started using it only recently. I have not chipped them or broken any. After looking other places, Target had the best price on this set. The mugs are an incredible size. Gorgeous.

I bought this set as my first complete dinnerware and absolutely loved the design. Not even a month later I noticed chips in most of the plates. Cracks started appearing just by washing the dishes in the sink. They will chip just by stacking them in the cabinets! I am so dissapointed that I want to get rid of every bit of it and for the amount paid, they are just not worth it. I regret spending the money on them and not listening to the other reviews that stated the same problem.

I just received and unpacked my new dinnerware and all I can say is WOW is this a beautiful set. I love the look, color, design, and most of all the shape, size, and weight of each piece. The mugs alone are amazing, but the whole set is simply gorgeous. I will be returning for another set after Christmas, as I am so pleased with the look and feel of this set. Thank you Target for bringing something so lovely to us.
