This must be the worst coffeemaker ever made

I completely agree with the other reviews that are posted. We received this as a wedding gift in June 2005. It did not last long enough to see our 2nd anniversary. The same issues happened to us -- the pump started to leak, then 2 weeks later it was completely dead. I could not be more disappointed with a product. We will never buy anything made by Mr. Coffee ever again.

Leaks and Canister Breaks

This coffee maker has been such a disapppointment. It has leaked (from where, we are not sure) from the beginning onto the hot plate. When the original canister cracked, we purchased a new one (from another store where we finally found it) and it broke while I was rinsing it for the first time. The complete bottom broke off! We are going to shop for another brand.

Just as the other reviewer said, the pump stops pumping, it begins to leak and then it's done. All within a three year period.

I have had 3 of these and they all were junk, they burned my counter, leaked, and the last one I have the clock filled with water and the hand dissapeared, very dissapointed in Mr Coffee, And to think they used to be the best, I guess that's progress for you !

My husband and I recently received this item as a wedding gift and we are pleased with it. The coffee is always piping hot, the warmer plate can be adjusted to keep the coffee hot or just warm and it stays on for about an hour. I like being able to set the brew time so it's ready when I wake up. We have been been using this maching daily if not twice a day for half a year now and we have no complaints whatsoever. I highly recommend this product and I also recommend getting the reusable coffee filter.

I purchased this coffee maker on a whim over 2 years ago (it was on sale) and have loved it ever since. It brews a great pot of coffee once you get your ratios right, it stays hot for 2 hours, you can brew a really strong batch to use in summertime chilled drinks or for baking. I have had a few water leaks but upon inspection, I find them to be from moisture on the lid when I open it and it all runs down the back. So my pot sits on a cute kitchen towel....that's not too hard. I have also liked setting the timer to turn on when I am waking up. I would buy this again.

Do not purchase this item. As the others have mentioned; it leaks and the coffee isn't hot. The leaking ruined a portion of my countertop, so I had to have the machine sit on a cookie sheet. Once coffee was made (which tended to take longer and longer with each passing day), my cup had to be nuked to get it to the temperature coffee should be; this was with the temperature control set at the highest level. Yesterday it just quit working. I will shy away from any Mr. Coffee brand in the future.

We've owned this coffee maker for less than 2 years. It worked fine - we had a little of the leaking other reviewers refer to but nothing too bad. We also had to pull it out from underneathe cabinets due to excessive steam. The other morning it just quit. The lights are on and it looks like everything is working, but no matter what we tried, it's just dead. I was reading about a new coffee maker and found the reviews on this one. I will have to agree - don't waste your money! Buy something else...good luck.

This coffeemaker was bought as a wedding present in June of 2005. Since appoximately October of 2006, and that is being generous on the timeline, it has been a disaster in our kitchen. We have been pulling it to the end of the countertop because of the excessive steam since the spring of 2006, but don't worry, it has still ruined a portion of our cabinets. It has been leaking all over and causing my poor husband hours of concern, toying with it to fix or even find the problem, and even more time cleaning up the coffee from the counter or the front of the lower cabinets or even the floor! Once it starts leaking, it flows like a waterfall!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME PURCHASING THIS ITEM. I will be buying our household a brand new coffeemaker tomorrow after reading these reviews!!!

leaky pitcher and faulty programmable feature

I've had this coffee maker for about a year. The first thing to go was the programmable feature. One day it just stopped working. So now I have to manually start it every morning. Which to most isn't that big of a deal, but that's why I paid extra for this coffeemaker. The next thing that I strongly dislike about this item is that the pitcher leaks. Since the black plastic rim is not sealed well to the glass pitcher, everytime I pour water into the maker I get water pouring onto the counter, which as you can imagine is very annoying.
