These are fantastic for swaddeling because of the larger size. They are super soft as well.

These are great receiving blankets. They wash very well and get softer with each washing. Also they are larger than some of the other receiving blankets so if your child is tall these blankets work very well.

I have 2 sets of these (in a different color than pictured here), and they are great! They are larger than some of the other receiving blankets, which makes swaddling easier. They're also great to use as "sheet savers,"--put them over the sheets in the crib, bassinet, or pack-n-play, and they are easy to swap out if baby spits up or has a diaper leak. (Of course they're NOT waterproof, but they're still very useful) I've actually used them instead of bassinet sheets and just tuck them tightly around the edges of the mattress (same for the pack-n-play). Also, if you ever breastfeed lying down in bed, they're great to put underneath you and baby to catch spit-up or small spills. Finally, when baby is too big to be swaddled, they still work as a lightweight blanket, and they don't take up much room in the diaper bag. They do start to "pill" a little bit after many washes, but that just shows you how much they've been used. Very versatile for just $2.50 each!
