I was a bit skeptical of purchasing this screen based on the other reviews. Some said they had problems, while others said they loved it! I ordered it anyway because of the price. The screen is perfect. Much heavier than I expected - not flimsy at all. The doors on my screen shut perfectly and stay shut. The design is beautiful. [...] I will definitely be purchasing from Target online again. I love it!

i purchased this screen for $50 plus s&h.it arrived in one piece,but the door is a bit off track-crooked.it doesnt seem to be made very well,but for $50 it was an o.k. purchase-it did its job of hiding my ugly fireplace front until i can get it remodeled!

Well I really liked how this looked online, and I especially liked the price. But , you know the old saying. I got what I paid for. I opened the box and immediately noticed that the screen (mesh) was dented in several spots. I straightened them out as best I could and figured, "oh well, it still looks really good". Then I noticed it has some sticky gunk on it...still no biggie. Then I noticed the magnets that keep the doors shut had fallen off....oh well, thats what glue is for. Then I noticed some rust....well it is iron.....then I noticed that the doors did not even shut because the whole thing is bent so that it is no longer square. Yeah, it is going back, and I highly doubt I will bother with ordering another.....or buying anything online with Target again. But maybe you will have better luck.

I was very pleased with the workmanship. This is a very beautiful fireplace screen especially for the price, very smart purchase. My husband likes it so much he wants me to purchase another one for our house up north. I was not so sure about buying it at first because of two reviews stating that the doors did not close properly. I decided to press my luck and purchase it anyway. I am glad I did, I love it!! and it looks wonderful in our great room.

Great fireplace screen for a really great price. Appears to be equivalent in quality to something you'd get at a specialty fireplace store, but for 1/10th the price. Also, the scroll detailing looks even better in person than in the picture. No problems with functionality at all.

My fiance and I got this as a wedding gift, and although it's beautiful and goes w/ our decor, one of the doors won't shut. Apparently, from another person's review, we see that it's not only ours. It's like one of the magnets has come off and the door basically kind of stays open a little. The only reason we're not trading it is b/c we love the design and don't feel like going through the hassle of exchanging.

Sorry to hear about the person in the other review's problems, but I have had much better luck with this screen. I bought it a few months ago and I abolutely love it! It looks great and everything works well!! The price is definitely right!!

I have purchased this screen for the 3rd time now and again have to return it...first one the door was broke, second one did not come with any of the hardware, and the one I just openend is bent and the door wont close...this is very attractive to look at but I can not imagine it holding up actually being used as a fireplace screen.
