I just got this yesterday. I decided to order it as I have a new obsession with shirtdresses - Yes, it does look like a nightgown, and I can see where you would want to shorten it for more of a shirt look. However, the fabric looks and feels great. I am going to try having it taken in on the sides so it is a bit more fitted. I think this way, it'll be a bit more versatile, and have more of dress look, as opposed to something I want to take a nap in.

It's a Nightgown! September 28, 2007 Reviewer:  Fashion Lover (Midlothian VA USA)  See all my reviews >

This dress is very oversized. I am usually a medium or large in GO designers and both the M and L just hung there on me. I have to say I liked the fabric and pretty buttons and cuffs. The Libertine line is more well-made than some of other other GO designers. I returned this.

Yay for Purple, Nay for this color September 22, 2007 Reviewer:  Stylish Teacher "Linda" (Dallas, TX)  See all my reviews >

I have this dress in the purple stripe and in fog. The purple dress fits better overall but the fog dress is too big. I am 5'9" so the dresses fall above my knees. The purple stripe is cute because it looks like a preppy mini dress. The fog dress is too big. I wear a small and the XS fit at the shoulders but the hips and hem were too poofy and overcut. My advice is to go with the purple stripe dress if you are considering this style.

Poofy, foofy, and just plain bad September 9, 2007 Reviewer:  kim*designer (Pittsburgh, PA area)  See all my reviews >

I agree with another reviewer- one of the least flattering dresses I could imagine. I grabbed it in the store thinking it had potential - took it home - my whole family thought it was hilarious because it looked like a granny nightgown. There was not a thing I could do to redeem it. Belts only made the frumpy effect worse, no matter where they were placed. I am old enough to avoid frumpiness at all costs, so it was returned the next day!

AWESOME!!! September 5, 2007 Reviewer:  Noishsaf Yzarc "MMM." (L.A., CA)  See all my reviews >

This dress is so versatile and comfortable and well made. I got it and my initial reaction was, "This dress is huge, I got a small" But I tried it with a skinny belt and created an empire waist and it was awesome. You can wear it with sandals, you can wear it with tights etc... You have to be a creative dresses to wear this dress well though. But it is a great versatile dress for your wardrobe if you know how to work it.

Please Don't August 21, 2007 Reviewer:  Gisele "Gisele" (New York City)  See all my reviews >

I gave this dress 2 stars cause it was contructed right. Unfortunatley it is in fact the ugliest, shapless dress I have ever seen. The picture in the ads makes you think "maybe".. but when you put it on it looks like you are wearing Ebenezer Scrooge's night shirt.

Versatile Dress! August 19, 2007 Reviewer:  Quicha Tresvant Real Name (Silver Spring, MD)  See all my reviews >

I love, love, love this dress! I had to go down a size, and that did wonders for my ego! I can wear it as pictured (loose) or belted, which is fab! I love the rhinestone and MOP buttons. The material is a bit thick for hot, sunny days, but I can't wait to wear it in the fall w/tights.

SPANDEX! August 14, 2007 Reviewer:  Aquaria "aquaria" (Midwest USA)  See all my reviews >

NO reason to add spandex to what appears to be a little, slightly flowing dress...it is heavy with spandex, and therefore HOTTER, temperature, not looks, than it would be without it. This trend to put spandex in ALL womens clothes is becoming IRRITATING. The style is cute, but the fabric is horrible.

Perfect for petites, really. . . just belt it! August 11, 2007 Reviewer:  Xanadu (Boston, MA, USA)  See all my reviews >

I was prepared to put this one back on the rack despite the thick soft fabric, adorable bib-front, and versatile color. I'm 5'1" and it was way too long, even for office wear; it looked more like sleepwear. But with a belt, this hits perfectly right at the knee, and gives the waist definition. Wear it just above your natural waist for a nice, long line below. My favorite look: a brown-white snakeskin 2" belt and brown patent pumps. Also great with a 1/2" black belt and barely-there toe-ring sandals.
