I purchased this TV for our kitchen to watch while we prepare meals. The TV worked great for about two months, then the screen went black. The warranty on this item is worthless! Target was not much help in the matter either. Don't buy this garbage unless you want to use it as large paper weight in a few months!

I got my tv July of 2004 and it died a month later, it wouldn't even turn on. I called regarding warranty and they head me return it and replaced it a month or two later. However a year later the unit died again, this time out of warranty. The problem seems to be that you are not supposed to keep it plugged in when you are not using it or it burns the unit out. Who wants a tv/dvd/cd player that you constantly have to plug and unplug? Why bother putting a clock on this piece of junk if you have to reset it everday when you plug it in? Do Not Buy this product!!

If you recently received one of these, you will be happy. For CDs, the sound is low-fidelity, for radio, it's mostly static. If, like me, you have used it for TV viewing, you will soon see only a black screen. The unit will last past the warranty period but then, Target refers you to Polaroid. For $60 and postage, Polaroid will send you another - I guess - I've been waiting for 9 months and no TV yet. I should have read some on-line reviews before purchasing. I am surprised that Target still sells these.

DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF TRASH. Unless you simply want to test your warranty. It will break within a matter of days. The screen will go out and then the manufacturer, and Target, won't give you back your money. Dont make the mistake I did.

DO NOT PURCHASE POLAROID ELECTRONICS. Polaroid sells poorly made products and will not respond to consumer requests for assistance.

We received this for a Christmas gift last year. I read reviews after it was given to us and became worried. We haven't had any problems yet.

This was a splendid product when it worked, it worked flawlessly. My wife and kids would sit in kitchen watching it together when they could have watched a larger flat screen TV in other areas of the house. Then, like many of the other owners, the unit would not turn on. Total blackness. [...]

I purchased this unit December of 2005. We used the TV a lot, but not everyday all day. The screen went black in April 2007. I sent it to Polaroid (along with the $65) April 23, 2007. Four months later, several phone calls, many different stories from the call center employees, and still no TV. I am being told it is still on back order. I had been told at one point that they would send me a unit of equal or greater value. When I questioned why not send me a better unit since the other had been on back order for so long, I was told no.

I TOO AM IN THE DARK...NO LCD SCREEN. HAVING READ THE OTHER REVIEWS, IT'S BEEN SINCE 2005 AND WHAT HAD POLAROID DONE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. SOUNDS LIKE THEY HAVE NOT DONE ANY CORRECTIONS. WE SHALL SEE. I JUST SENT THEM AN INQUIRY. I LOVE MY KITCHEN UNDER THE CABINET TV. IT WOULD BE BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM WITH THOSE WHO HAVE PURCHASED THEIR PRODUCT WITHOUT CHARGING US FOR THEIR FAILURE.
