I, of course, like everyone else, read the reviews. I was somewhat skeptical, but decided to go ahead and order it. Oh, my gosh -- and was I pleased! I just received it today. It is absolutely gorgeous!! And for only $19.99! I have been looking for a while and have seen fire screens that I don't even like going for anywhere from $150-$300! I am going to order the fire place tools that match this fire screen. It is so rustic and fits my fireplace perfectly! You will NOT be disappointed! GO AHEAD -- BUY IT!

I read the reviews first, and they are right on. This is a brown metal mesh screen with metal leaf details. It's heavy and sturdy and a good large size. It fit my fireplace perfectly. I'm using it to keep my cat out of there, but it also works to hide the ugly fireplace opening without completely blocking it from view.

Most fire screens seem to go for $100-350. I purchased this one from Target.com for [much less]. The quality is great and it's an attractive artistic piece that could work with almost any style or season.

And no, that's not a green background. It's just a brown metal mech screen that you can see through.

After reading the other reviews I ordered this fireplace screen. The photo on the webpage does not do this screen justice. It is a darker, richer brown/black color and the screen is black, not that light color shown in the photo at all. It is much heavier and more substantial than I expected. We are just thrilled with it, especially at the price. Even with shipping it was [a reasonable price].

I ordered the Brown Leaf Fire Screen and I must say I was a little disappointed. I thought that the background was this beautiful pale green with the brown leaves. To my surprise when it was delivered it was all Mesh with the brown Leaves, Although it is very sturdy and looks fabulous with my fireplace, I really liked the look on the website with the light green background which would have really been great with my livingroom setting. I also bought the brown leaf tools as well.

I agree with all the other reviews about the screen being a dark brown rather than bronze with a light opague background. But it is so pretty that I don't mind that at all; it still compliments my fireplace's tiles. And the price was fantastic given how sturdy and functional it is.

I give the actual product 5 stars because I do love it. But, the picture is not accurate. The picture makes it appear that the screen has a light background to it, but in actuality, it does not. The screen is dark brown, not white. The description says it has a solid screen, but it actually has little holes in it. But, overall I absolutely love the screen and it looks great in our living room!

This is a really nice & sturdy screen -- unbelievable for the price. So glad I read the other reviews, because at first I figured for that price it must be flimsy & cheaply made. It is not! It arrived in perfect condition (super quick) -- just take it out of the box & put in place. We needed something quick & cheap to keep the cats out of the fireplace during the off-seasons, and the bonus is this is a really beautiful addition to the room.

I bought this fire screen three months ago and have been very pleased with the purchase. It looks beautiful in my home and I have yet to find something comparable for the price. It comes completely assembled and ready to use. It makes my (unusable) fire place so much prettier. I love it and would highly reccomend it.
