I have owned mine for over a year and I would be lost without it now. I cook most days and this is my all time favorite purchase for the kitchen.

In an earlier post, someone mentioned that the door is hard to open because of the attached rack and that they have to use the baking pan or there will be uneven toasting. I do not have my rack attached to the door and have it midway of the unit. It perfectly toasts in this position. I have found the convection part to be great considering the price of this unit. I bake cookies, biscuits, brownies - even chicken! and they are perfect.

In another post, it was mentioned that this unit needs a toast setting - mine does have it. It is marked by a icon in the shape of a slice of toast over the knob that selects if you want to toast, broil, convection, etc.

As far as smoking, it did that as the manual said it would the first few times I used it, but has never happened again. Also, it is grounded as indicated by the three prong plug. I am shocked at reviews saying this oven is hard to use. It has a cook type knob, a temperature knob and a timed setting knob. It's straight forward in my book!

I bought the toaster oven on March 2007, it worked great never had any problems until last Saturday, Nov.10,2007, I was making toast and the glass exploded all over the kitchen floor. I was standing right there in the kitchen about to open the door when it happen. I had the three dials on the correct setting, the timer was set at the second dot, the timer did go off on time . I was lucky it did not catched on fire.

We had this item for the past 3 years - we used it mainly for broiling fish & chicken and cooking small pizzas - it is perfect for a household of 1 or 2 people - you hardly ever have to use the regular oven. It worked wonderfully up until last week, when it just stopped working for no reason. The one MAIN problem is that it gets very hot even in the back - so a part of the plug melted. Be sure you keep it at least 8 inches away from the wall and anything else while using it

I had this toaster oven for a year . It got very hot and burned food often. You really had to watch it. I no longer own it because yesterday it finally went up in flames! It was very scary. I had to use the fire extinguisher to put it out. It really scared myself and kids. I should have thrown it out a long time ago. I consider this toaster oven to be dangerous and I can not believe the company is still making it. It is a huge liability risk for them.

I bought this item in Sep 06 and my husband's hated it since we bought it. You have to "babysit" whatever you put in it and watch it because you never know how much it will actually toast it. On top of that it takes forever sometimes to toast anything. Today, it just stopped working for no reason. It looks brand new still. The only reason it even gets 1 star is because the way it looks...I like that and that's about it.

We purchased this to basically cook pizzas in and to replace our toaster. It did okay for those things, although, after reading the other reviews I will agree that you could never get it to toast evenly. I just got used to eating burnt or underdone toast and waffles.
We've had it less than a year and it's now completely broken. The timer at first would not quick ticking and since I was in a hurry to get to work I unplugged it. When we plugged it back in later that night we couldn't get it to work at all. The next day my husband fiddled with it and now it only works in the "stay on" position and will not shut off (unless you unplug it from the wall, which isn't all that safe).
It may be this brand, though. We bought a stick mixer from them less than a month ago and we're having problems with that also.

In all the 20 years I've been cooking, I have NEVER set flames to anything in the kitchen. I purchased this toaster oven from Target in Feb 07 and last night while heating up a frozen chicken kiev (breaded chicken w/sauces in the middle) my toaster oven caught fire. I came back to the kitchen 10 min later to a phowosh phowosh noise and inside top of my toaster oven spouting flames. I won't be purchasing a new one. I'll find another toaster oven at Target to buy.

We got this oven over 3 years ago.We love it.I make everything in it.We had a problem once with the door hinge but my husband put a little grease on it & it's been fine ever since.It toasts,bakes & broils.It's especailly good if you don't want to use the big oven on hot days.We love the color & the way it works.if I ever neede to purchase another one I would stick to oster.

This toaster oven is a good product. I've purchased other items produced by Oster (like their steamer) and this one is just as impressive. You will not be disappointed with your purchase nor the results from the cooking. Yes, it does get hot on the outside, but what toaster oven doesn't? You just need to make sure that there is nothing on top of it or pull it out from under your upper cabinets. That has nothing to do with the quality of this product. There is enough space to cook a frozen pizza. I have had no problems with my toast either. The instructions are not difficult to understand. This oven is worth every penny that you'll spend to purchase it.
