These shoes are great. I'm a flip-flops kind of girl and have gotten used to the comfiness of open slippers. I was a bit skeptical about these shoes based on the reviews and ended up buying my size and another pair a half size smaller. The smaller size fit, but left my heels red. My size kept slipping off just as other reviewers said. So, I followed one reviewers advice and bought heel liners and put them in the size 6. Ta-da! Not only do the heels stay on, but there's extra room in the toes. I think I found a classy replacement for my flip-flops.

These shoes are fabulous - not quite pale pink - more of a soft gold but very classy & comfortable and amazing value.

this shoe is so good. you guys should all buy them. even if u like to crossdress and go to swap-meets on a sunday, this is perfect for u too. At first it was a little uncomfortable, but then it molds around your corns and bunions like a glove. This is perfection. i've never been so thoroughly satisfied in my life. If comfort is what you are looking for, for that hammer toe and that low arch, then this is the shoe for you. The lace actually reminds me of my grandma's doilies. This shoe is perfect for bringing back memories.

these black lace and gold shoes are definitely cute, but the front feels uncomfortable after wearing them for awhile and the back is too loose! I should have ordered either a half or whole size smaller and part of the lace in the front started to tear.

I bought these online too, and I am very happy I did.
I am self concious about my huge shoe size (11) for a 15 year old, but these really distracted the size of my feet and added class and elegance to my style. Also very nice with jeans. =)

Wish I could write glowing reviews which are similar to the previous 2 shoppers. Just received my pair of Valentinas today. They are pink satin with black lace and a beautiful black grosgrain bow. I wear size 8.5 and I should have ordered a 7.5 because the 8.5 are too loose and I can step out of them. The sole is a hard plastic that does not give when I walk. It was painful to try and walk in them for the few seconds that I could keep them on my feet. All show and no go! Returning them tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!

I just bought this shoe and completely agree with the other buyer that it's black lace over pale gold. It's not pink. That does not detract from it however. My overall feeling about this shoe is that it is very pretty and a good inexpensive purchase for being totally on-trend (I am a fashion journo after all). If you read the other reviews about the Valentina flat in other styles, you'll see that it runs big (wide) and is stiff. To give you a sense of how it fits, I am an 8.5 exactly with a skinny-to-regular foot, and the 8.5 is about 1/4 inch too big and too wide. It does not feel like it would fall off my foot but what I recommend to buyers is buy your true size (which will be big unless you have a wider foot in which case, you will love this roomy shoe), add a heel grip (those squishy pads you get free at shoe stores which adhere) which will solve the stiffness/blister problem everyone complains about as (hopefully) then it won't chafe your ankle. That's my plan anyway. I haven't decided whether I'm keeping the shoe but with that added, I still have wiggle room on my outer toes, which I love.

I just got these shoes and so far so good! They are very comfortable and are very roomy shoes. However, I have to disagree about the "pale pink" color. They look more like black/gold to me....but they are still beautiful shoes. The lace overlay is really pretty too. I can tell these shoes are going to become a regular part of my wardrobe. I would definitely recommend them.
