Make Instant Fresh Baby Food November 8, 2007 Reviewer:  P. Rehder "msbytes" Real Name (Hope Mills, NC United States)  See all my reviews >

I used this baby food grinder for both of my children. It is not made for grinding up large batches of food for storage. It is for making fresh food to feed your baby. Just grab some of the veggies or fruit that you are having for dinner and even a little meat then grind it up into instant baby food! It also works great when you go out to eat or are traveling. Just order a side dish of veggies, grind it up, and you have nice warm food to feed your baby instead of cold jar food!

A great item June 9, 2008 Reviewer:  Penny L. Stull Real Name See all my reviews >

I used one of these for my kids when they were babies. It's really meant to be used for older babies when you are introducing them to table foods. So really there is no special preparation of foods needed.
I recently purchased 3 of these to give to my daughter-in-law, my daughter, and one for my house.

Not as Good as the Origional June 8, 2009 Reviewer:  Sharon (Plymouth, MA)  See all my reviews >

My original Grinder came from Sears many years ago, and the blade and strainer were metal.

I purchased 2 of these for nieces that were expecting, and then using it myself, I found that it makes a huge difference having the current plastic strainer. This strainer does not except the pressure needed to grind some food. It did work fine on cooked veggies, and pastas.

MAKES HOMEMADE BABY FOOD A SNAP!! May 5, 2009 Reviewer:  Rebecca V. Holmes Real Name See all my reviews >

I used a similar mill for all 3 of my children (best baby shower gift I ever got!) and in turn purchase one for anyone I know who will be making their own baby food. I prefer the mill without the case (I got this one for a friend who likes to eat out with her family) because the case seems too small & a bit of an akward fit for all of the broken-down components. However, they couldn't have made the mill any better and the tiny spoon is absolutely perfect!

Cook your food right...and there is no problem March 26, 2009 Reviewer:  Mommy of 2 (WA, USA)  See all my reviews >

You can't expect it to grind a steak, but it will grind whatever you are putting in your baby's mouth - veggies, fruits, rice, noodles, anything out of the crock-pot! It is a MANUAL grinder so you do get a mini arm workout; but we could all use that after having a baby! Easy to use, easy to clean!

Takes a lot of time August 11, 2008 Reviewer:  Happy Mom "Silvia" (MO,USA)  See all my reviews >

I received this item as a gift for my baby shower so I decided to try it out. But, for the time the it takes me to make the meal, I prefer to use my magic bullet instead, which does it in a fraction of the time.

Served the purpose well! February 26, 2008 Reviewer:  Melinda E. Larsen Real Name (Minnesota)  See all my reviews >

We bought it to use at each mealtime to grind up what the adults were having for dinner. After raising one picky eater, we wanted this baby to eat everything, and she does! We used it for pot roast, sausages, pizza, fish, veggies, pasta, you name it! Baby ate everything we did. No messing with jars and preparing seperate meals. We just sat down with the grinder, and prepared each meal fresh for her.

It would not be good for large quantities since the hand grinding is time consuming, but it works great for single portions! No leaks, no messy clean-up, no hassles at restraunts to get them to warm my baby's food *most refuse due to liability issues* I even passed it along to my sister to use for her little one, but made her PROMISE to give it back:)

Awful! August 28, 2008 Reviewer:  E. Luedtke Real Name See all my reviews >

This product is so flimsy. I bought this to make baby food, but threw it out after 1 use. I had to crank the handle forever to get the food milled, and there were chunks that were too large that I had to pick out!

Hated it! May 8, 2008 Reviewer:  Proud Mom (Seattle, WA, USA)  See all my reviews >

This was a waste of money. I don't know what other moms were grinding up in this, but all the veggies seemed to get stuck in it and not come through well. It was easier to use a real food mill, but obviously that was for home use. I loved the concept of a travel food mill, but I found it to be cumbersome and not effective. I just threw it away.

Not great March 25, 2008 Reviewer:  slecker "slecker" (Kirskville MO)  See all my reviews >

We may have ended up with a dud here. I don't know if the blade is supposed to be more sharp than it is, or what. This silly thing doesn't puree anything but peaches and super soft foods for us. Maybe we'll send it back and try another.
