I am also 5'7" and this dress is a great length for flats or a small heel. The neckline is flattering and modest.
Because it is cotton, the pleats don't drape perfectly, but for just over $11, it's a great casual dress.

I love this dress. Pay attention to the picture of the model. I am 5'7''and the dress hits at my ankles. I am big on top and dresses rarely fit my chest but this one does perfectly without showing cleavage. I am a size 12 and usually have to go up to a 14 in tops but this junior size 13 fits like it was made for me. I am only giving 4 stars because it zips on the side making it a bit hard to get on and off.

I didnt care for the rough no movement of the material. Its not made for someone who is small on top like me, but the empire waist fit well around my 32 inch frame. The dress came down to my ankles and looked kind of sloppy on me.

This is what I call a "lollipop" dress -- it makes me look tall, slim & busty. In reality, I'm 5'2", 110 lbs. I bought a size 7 and it fit perfectly, but it was all the way to my ankles. A bargain for such glamour! Patrick Robinson is a genious -- I've bought four other pieces from this collection.

This dress is a nice idea, and may work if you are tall and bosomy. Basically, you need to be at least 5'6" to wear this with flats--it is looong. If you've got the height thing worked out (lucky you!) all that's left is what to do with the bust of the dress. Unlike the last GO Collection of Proenza Schouler's chest-smooshing frocks, this PR piece seems to invite bra-stuffing. There is much more than enough room for an ample bust--you could carry your handbag, or snacks there perhaps? If not, the fabric tends to poof out oddly from the empire waist band. Definitely try this on before you buy. I don't doubt that it looks smashing on the right figures (tall, willowy but with a larger chest). If that's not you, you could certainly take the in top part and hem the dress, if necessary.

This lightweight long black cotton dress is a must for spring and summer. The pleats and cutting are well made and the dress fits true to size. The only drawback is the zipper which is a bit difficult. Still, it's a beautiful dress.
