I love my hello kitty coffee maker. I've had it for over a year now (bought x-mas 2006) and it still works great (and makes me smile). I make 2-3 pots every day and have never had a leak of any kind. The only drawbacks are that it makes very small pots (4-8 cups) and it doesn't have an automatic turn on or shut off.

I've had this coffee pot since Christmas and now it is starting to leak and the water goes right onto the heat pad when I pour it into the coffee pot. I think it has definitely lasted longer than I expected. I drink 8-10 pots of coffee every week. I don't think this machine was made for everyday use and was made more for the "cuteness" of having a hello kitty coffee pot.

It definatly serves it's purpose. Iam a die hard Kitty fan and my son got this for Christmas for me. So I'm unable to get a new one due to that, but this coffee pot drips and drips and with white counter tops I find myself constantly cleaning up.
