does the job, but with a few inconveniences June 4, 2008 Reviewer:  Betty L. Domjahn Real Name (Castlewood, VA United States)  See all my reviews >

I have owned and used this egg cooker for about 3 years (I had a nice Krups when I lived in Germany, but liked the cute design of this one). The eggs come out perfect every time - no complaints. There are two problems, however... first of all, the only way to turn it off is to unplug it. Secondly, the tray and lid don't fit together snugly, so you have to fiddle with them sometimes to get them to line up properly. But, it's been working fine, gets a lot of use, and except for these minor inconveniences, it has done a great job of producing very consistently-cooked eggs

Cute doesn't cook an egg July 31, 2008 Reviewer:  Annie F (Arkansas)  See all my reviews >

My mom and I both bought one of these - if you're going to cook hard-boiled or poached eggs, why not be cute about it! We found out cute doesn't properly cook an egg. Here are the problems with Henrietta: 1) Water leaking from unit; 2) the chirping to signal eggs are done wore out quickly; 3) Was not consistent on cooking, probably due to the water leakage. I was given an Oster egg cooker as a wedding gift and it lasted us over 20 years. I am going back to the Oster.

Extreme disappointment August 25, 2008 Reviewer:  Valerie (Los Angeles, CA)  See all my reviews >

Henrietta is a lie. I was so excited to hear her cute chirping and figured the other reviews that were not so flattering had to have been due to an inability to properly use this little hen. Turns out, the "chirp" is the sound of an annoying alarm clock that has to be unplugged to turn off, it leaks a lot of water, doesn't fit 7 jumbo sized eggs (up to 5 fit) and doesn't fully cook the eggs when directions are followed. I hate Henrietta. We bought her only a few days ago. I wish I saved the box so I could send her back but I threw it away with high hopes for this hen. By the way, she looks better in pictures then in person. She doesn't even have a good personality. Im gonna take her outside with my bat.

Great egg cooker! December 15, 2008 Reviewer:  Lunat (California)  See all my reviews >

The water leakage is due to the steam being used to cook the eggs. We have had this for 6 years and cook with it every week. It hard boils and poaches beautifully! It is convenient and is easy to clean. If you follow the directions and know how it cooks eggs - steam - then using this product would be a snap.

You need this clucker! March 8, 2008 Reviewer:  spilledcoffee "on the floor" (FL)  See all my reviews >

If you are a foodie and like novelty gadgets this is for you. Henrietta has just made her debut from the gift box and perfectly hard boiled eggs for the first time in our kitchen. I can't wait to see what else she can do. I hope she lives up to the hype!

LOVE MY EGG COOKER June 14, 2009 Reviewer:  Jonesy See all my reviews >

I don't remember where I got my egg cooker, but I LOVE IT. I use it daily during the week. I'm ordering one for my house so I can use it on the weekends. Although it may leak or have water around, I've found that if you fill it to full that will happen. Also have found out that when the eggs aren't quite done, it's because I didn't have the lid on properly.

Love Henrietta June 13, 2009 Reviewer:  Em, kitchen godess (Bay Area, CA)  See all my reviews >

I love my new Henrietta egg poacher! She looks adorable on my kitchen counter, poaches my breakfast eggs perfectly, and lets me know they are done by chirping! Also very easy cleanup. I love eggs Benedict, but the poaching has always been the tricky part. Now it's simple.
My only complaint would be you have to plug the cord in to start cooking and unplug when done. I would've been more than willing to pay more for a on/off switch.

Henrietta Poacher April 29, 2009 Reviewer:  Goldrush woman (Grass Valley, CA)  See all my reviews >

This was a very cute item. It wasn't as heavy as I would have liked it to be. It doesn't have an on off button, so it turns itself on when you plug it in. I also found that the chicken lid didn't fit snugly enough, therefore the eggs did not cook fully--ran them thru 2 x s and still wasn't happy with the results. Sorry, I like the appearance but found the performance lacking.

great egg cooker August 14, 2008 Reviewer:  Chicago mom See all my reviews >

the other complaints about this cooker leaking water and not fitting together snugly are true but I can cook perfect eggs in this cooker every time! And the chirping is very helpful because with my 2 year old I usually forget all about them, but when she chirps, it reminds me that I put them on to cook. I love it!!
