Description

The versatility of PYREX glassware extends to storage dishes in an array of convenient, stackable sizes with plastic lids for safe–keeping. Better yet, those same storage dishes are perfect for reheating and serving, since they're resistant to both heat and cold. Compared to the plastic counterparts, PYREX glassware storage dishes do not stain or retain food colors, tastes or odors.

Features

  • 10-pc. set includes 6- and 3-cup rectangular dishes, 4- and two 2-cup round ones, and a lid for each
  • Nonporous glass doesn’t absorb odor, flavor or stains, and it’s non-reactive for great cooking with acidic (like tomato-based or lemon-infused) recipes
  • Microwave and dishwasher safe

Store, Freeze, Bake, Microwave!!! No lie February 12, 2007 Reviewer:  ic "ic" (Bay Area, CA)  See all my reviews >

These are some of my favorite kitchen accessories --and they have tough competition. My All Clad is great; my Henckels are super... buy my Pyrex storage set saves me every day!! I'm done w/ plastic containers, and other casual bakeware. These pieces are compact, versatile and perfectly presentable for family meals, or dropping off goodies with a sick friend. I've put them in the oven, in the freezer and in the microwave. They spend most of their time in the fridge w/ leftovers--they come in the perfect sizes for leftovers or smaller serving casseroles. They stack neatly in my fridge, freezer and cabinets. Make me look good. (For full size casseroles, look outside of this set)

Love Pyrex July 15, 2009 Reviewer:  Bride-to-be See all my reviews >

I, too, am trying to switch over to all glass & get rid of my plastic. I love pyrex, for its durability, flexibility (fridge to microwave, etc) & nice looks. I received 2 sets of these for my wedding & am very happy. I think I may get the round set with gray, vented lids. The lids take a minute to get them all the way on but I think it's because they're brand new. My only real complaint is that one of my small bowls chipped at the edge because they were stacked after washing & became stuck. That's how I store these type of items - stack 'em so ... any tips? Or do I just have to unstack them?

Great, BPA Free Product January 28, 2009 Reviewer:  RAB (Seattle, WA)  See all my reviews >

In light of the controversy over plastics and health affects, plus a jumbled mess in my cabinet, I donated my plastic storage, and bought these Pyrex dishes. They have been great, clean up well, sturdy, etc. My mother-in-law wants them now! Plus (and in answer to one of the other reviews), Pyrex does claim the plastic lids to be BPA free.

This is my favorite cooking set. November 16, 2008 Reviewer:  Stephanie C. (Chicago, IL)  See all my reviews >

I love this set (and the other Pyrex sets that match it). They really do go out of the oven and into the fridge, then into the microwave and finally into the dishwasher. If this set ever wears out (but after 3 years they are still going strong) I'll get them again. Great buy.

A Pyrex Fan September 27, 2008 Reviewer:  he.arts (Seattle, WA)  See all my reviews >

I have been using Pyrex for years and just added this set (from our registry) to our Pyrex bakeware. Strong, durable, and healthier to reheat food in the microwave (no chemical toxins leaking from plastic).

Thank you pyrex! July 17, 2008 Reviewer:  AirForceWife86 "Destiny D" (Pleasant Hill, IA)  See all my reviews >

Another great set from pyrex! I purchased this to compliment my already growing pyrex collection & I am once again a happy customer because of their products. It is so convenient for left overs, meals to go, etc. Highly recommended!

Bowls Get Stuck Together February 16, 2009 Reviewer:  New Mom (Chicago, IL) See all my reviews >

I was excited to buy these pyrex to move away from plastic storage. We washed them and my husband stacked them in a drawer. Now the bowls are stuck together and we cannot get them apart. In trying to do so, one of the bowls chipped and it looks like I'm going to have to throw all 3 bowls out! If you can't stack your storage containers, how are you supposed to store them? I feel like I wasted money.

How about Lids? November 10, 2008 Reviewer:  Sam "Sam k" (WA)  See all my reviews >

I was looking for non-plastic lunch boxes for my kid and came across Pyrex storage, this seems to be a good choice to carry luch. As per the reviews it said no leaching etc etc How about the Lids? these are made of plastic and the food keeps touching the plastic when we move from tabel to table or carry as a lunch box.
Is this plastic lid safe for people who wants to avoid plastic?
