    The earthy tones and elegant lantern-like design of this floor lamp from the Style™ collection are a warm complement to any setting. The light hangs from the top of a graceful stem that's curved like a shepherd's staff and finished in a bronze patina. Providing soft accessory lighting, the shade is covered in Mica to cast a beautiful amber glow. Features a convenient on/off foot switch. Uses a 100-watt standard or soft white bulb (not included). I went to Target today as I just had to see the lamps lit up to see if they were something I'd want to buy. I'm re decorating my bedroom from light and sunny( which is what I've always ahd ehre in Florida)into rich and warm. I want to use deep rich autum like colors to accessorize
To me, when I saw it today the lamp seems more brown then amber. I know amber has some brown in it. But, this seemed more like a bronze/brown color then amber. It looked like a a slight reddish tint online. Which I thought looked kind of rich and warm. But saw no hint of red when it was lit up in Target.
When the lamp off it was very dark, a deep dark brown, looking to me. But then again, it was on a shelf with another shelf over it and that could have cast a darker shadow to it.
I did like it. Just wish it did have a touch of the red tint in it like it looks like in the online photo. Not red, red, mind you, but just a touch swirled in it, to make it look more rich and warmer would have been great.
I work with transparent stained glass paints. I wonder if a light coat of red transparent stain applied along the inside of the shade would give it the reddish tint I'd love.
I guess Mica doesn't come with red highlights

This lamp, while very pretty, is a piece of junk. I used it to read in bed and would swing the arm over the bed to read, and swing it back to go to sleep. Within ONE month of owning it, the top arm portion detached from the base - stripped from its screw grooves and impossible to reattach. No amount of glue, tape or what have you would fix it. I think if you want something more durable, look elsewhere.

Very pretty, but MUCH shorter than I thought it would be...check out the diminsions before you buy!

I'll keep it simple since others have the same feeling as I do- this lamp is AWESOME for the $$ and is perfectly described. Great addition to warm up a family room without adding bright light! LOVE IT!

Try using a 'CLEAR' 40-60 watt bulb and you won't see the silhouette of the bulb...just the light element. They cost more but it makes quite a difference.

It wasn't long after I bought this lamp when the switch (which is a button attached to the cord that is supposed to sit on the floor) stopped working properly. I would have to play with it for a few minutes to get the lamp to stay on. It eventually gave out completely. My brother opened the plastic thing that houses the switch and did something that kinda fixes it but it never should have happened in the first place.

I've had this lamp over a year and a half, and it's still in great shape. It gives off nice light and goes well with a variety of decor because of its brownish shade. The only complaint is that the cord is too long between the lamp and the foot pedal, and I've not yet been able to maneuver it back into the lamp with any success. I would get another in a heartbeat.

I thought this lamp was decent for the price until it broke while I was trying to straighten the lamp shade, which was crooked. The whole top is made of cheap plastic, unlike the base, which is fairly sturdy metal. So be super careful with it, & don't try to adjust anything like I did!

I recently purchased this lamp with the matching table lamp, and they are so pretty. They have a nice soft glow when lit, and not too bright like some lamps are. They were both really easy to put together also.

This lamp gives off great soft light. The only thing that I wasn't expecting with it, was that it would be so short. Although, you wouldn't want it any taller, given the down angle of light. This matches the accent lamp-mica beautifully.
