Best Spinner Ever! December 13, 2008 Reviewer:  Loves gadgets that make life easier! (Olympia, WA)  See all my reviews >

I have had this salad spinner for 9 years. It is durable (I put it in the dishwasher all the time) and spins a large amount of lettuce, serves up to 8 people easy. My lettuce comes out moist and and drip free every single time! I have had people ask me about this salad spinner on a number of occasions.

How I use this spinner:
1)Place my lettuce leaves in the bowl fill with water sprinkle with salt (sometimes a little garlic powder also) let the lettuce soak for a few minutes.

2) After soaking lift out the strainer with the lettuce, empty the bowl of all the water, place strainer back in the bowl place spinning lid on and give it a quick spin.

3) Abrubtly stop it from spinning with the black button on top of the spinning lid (opposite the actual spinner mechanism) open the lid and lift the strainer out empty the water contents put the lid back on and give it another spin- soggy lettuce is no more!

Very Useful April 8, 2009 Reviewer:  New Wife (Washington State, USA)  See all my reviews >

I received this as a wedding gift from our registry. I've already used it several times and I have to say that it sure beats trying to dry lettuce with paper towels... I do recommend giving it a few pumps and letting it spin, then dump out the water from the bottom and pump and let it run again for optimal drying... I've found that this method works pretty well.

Best Salad Spinner known to man! January 18, 2009 Reviewer:  R. Foust Real Name (New Mexico, USA)  See all my reviews >

Easily the best contraption of its kind on the market. Love the "Archimedes-screw" operation--operating the spinner actually INCREASES its stability, which is the inverse of any other. Not a magic "anti-water" wand as some seem to expect, but the next best thing.

Not worth it December 11, 2008 Reviewer:  Seattle Savvy (Seattle, Wa)  See all my reviews >

I was pretty excited about having my lettuce & spinach instantly dry, but I think my expectations were too high. The greens are still a bit wet after spinning them--too wet to use on sandwhiches unless you dry them further (so that they don't get the bread all soggy). It takes up quite a bit of room in the cupboard, and often I end up not even using it because its just one more dish (with three parts) to clean. If I had it to do over I wouldn't purchase this item--I kinda feel like its a waste of plastic.

THE BEST! December 6, 2008 Reviewer:  Jenna Anderson (Washington state)  See all my reviews >

Where do I start? It has a rubber bottom, so it is doesnt skid around the counter, it spins SUPER fast, and even has a break so you can stop the spinning when you think you are done but have given it a few too many pumps! Also, the pusher folds down for east storage! Yahoo, the best by far!

Absolutely the best! September 8, 2008 Reviewer:  Pleased Mom "Caron M." (Walton, KY)  See all my reviews >

This aweseome kitchen, easy-to-use tool has eliminated a major fear of e-coli because of the thorough cleaning it provides! I usually wash and spin a couple of times, and it is a good feeling to see the dirty water that washes off my greens that would normally not be completely washed off with normal rinsing and air drying, or paper towel drying. What a relief to have a kitchen tool that gives some peace of mind when it comes to my family's health! I'm finished with rinsing and paper towel drying greens and hoping I removed all the dirt. This is the tool for those of you who love fresh vegetables and salads and especially love the idea of eliminating some of the possibilities of contracting e-coli from unwashed greens! I've used mine for a couple of years now, and I'm purchasing one for my 19-year-old to help her out in the dorm!

garbage September 9, 2008 Reviewer:  J. Jacobs "bluecitabria" Real Name (new york, ny, usa)  See all my reviews >

this is the worst salad spinner ever designed. it never spins fast enought to dry the salad. the mechanism is extremely delicate and it is impossible to repair.

Perfect salad spinner September 2, 2008 Reviewer:  M. Perkins "Maggiperk" Real Name (Cambridgeshire UK)  See all my reviews >

I have found more uses for this spinner than I can list. Lettuce, obviosly, but also spinning the extra moisture from broccoli, herbs and pasta.
The inner bowl is a great little container for washing grapes and cherry tomatoes, without them falling off the stems and going into the sink. It is also a great lettuce crisper, if you store the washed greens in the container with the basket in it, and the included lid. Lettuce stays fresh for over a week.
The "spinner pump" locks down flat, to make storage easy. It has a rubber bottom, so it doesn't slide on the counter while you are spinning.
It's fantastic.
One note of caution, hand wash only. My acrylic bowl became warped, even though it was washed on the top shelf.
