I started using this before I gave birth and put it in the hospital bag and glad I did! When my son was learning to breast feed he ripped my nipples and the creme helped with the dryness. I used it for about the first month then didn't need it after. Your nipples will hurt no matter what but the creme helps with dryness until your nipples get used to feeding

I bought this item after being given the 'trial' size at the hospital. I absoultely love this. It healed my bleeding and cracked nipple (due to latching problems) within 24hrs, and is safe for my baby to ingest, if there was any left on my nipple.

Definitely worth the price and the sanity it saved me.

I used this religiously and still do use it while i am continuing to breastfeed. Without this breastfeeding would be extremley painful. This helped me throughout the first few weeks for sure.

excellent, thick but meant to be so. [..] is liquidy but doesnt stay on as long, yellow staining and smells. should start using from few wks b4 baby comes and read up on breastfeeding how-to's cuz its very hard in the beginning but if u know wat 2do ull get thru it. good luck!

Used as a preventative ointment, this keeps skin soft and supple. Totally prevents cracks and helps with skin soreness (although nothing we can do about nipple soreness except keep nursing!). My childbirth class instructor recommended using it from the very first pumping or feeding, and she was ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. I never had any skin irritation issues. Don't hesitate...BUY BUY BUY!

I used Lansinoh from the beginning of breast feeding my son five years ago as I got a sample from the hospital. I bought another tube, the best part is does not require wiping off before nursing. My son had a good latch never had cracked nipples. Safe for the baby if swallowed. Also, I applied directly after a shower on nipples. I nursed my son for two years. Now I am expecting my second almost five years later already have purchased the tube for home. Again plan on nursing. Found out good on cuts and scrapes also.

I used this to relieve nipple pain when my first son was learning to latch and when my skin was irritated by having to wear a bra with nursing pads all the time. It is soothing and protects from fabric feeding to feeding. I have to gum it up between my fingers before applying to get the Lansinoh to be spreadable. With my second son, though, I had a persistent crack in one nipple that Lansinoh did not help. Consider buying hydrogels in that situation, or asking your doctor for a prescription for All Purpose Nipple Ointment (APNO), a compounded medicine available from your pharmacist that contains pain reliever, antifungal, and steroid. The APNO is the only thing that helped me heal the stubborn crack.

This creme is honestly a lifesaver. I brought it with me to the hospital and started using it shortly after my little guy was born. It helped me so much and still does to this day whenever my nipples are a little sore. I apply it after every feeding and by the next feeding, my nipples feel relieved. Honestly, this is the best product out there for breastfeeding mothers and the best part is, it's perfectly safe for the baby. I love it!
