We have the nordic ware corn popper bowl. Looove it.
Very simple to use just put in kernels and the oil if you wanna use oil. Wash up in the dishwasher. Dont have to worry about pads or filters or avoiding powercords. And you can use it for more than just popcorn. Both economical and efficient.
Yeah it does get hot when it comes straight out from the microwave but... gee so does everything else that's been cooked in the microwave O_o Lid is vented and doesnt fit secure, but as long as you dont over-fill it with kernels (no more than 1/2cup)popcorn stays in the bowl just fine.

I got this with a holiday gift card last year. Granted, we have been using it because our Presto Powerpop Popper wore out. I'm giving low ratings because 1) it remains EXTREMELY hot to the touch after it's finished popping. Dangerously hot. DON'T TOUCH WITHOUT OVEN MITS! Don't even try touching the edges - it's HOT!. AND THIS IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT IF YOU LET KIDS USE IT.....and 2) the lid does not fit tightly. Unpopped kernels come shooting out from under the little vents on the corners and jet all over the inside of the microwave. Plus the lid yellows & warps with use.
It doesn't do a bad job of popping and it was very reasonable in price [...] in our local Target store. It's also easy to clean but stains with use. But if you purchase it - BE CAREFUL or you'll burn your fingers. Or you'll grab it thinking it's ok to touch only to drop your fresh popped corn all over the kitchen floor (like I did the first time) YIKES!
Presto Powerpop Microwave Popper is still the best I've used whether electric or microwave version. It's a pain to find the concentrator cups & the only place I've been able to find a Presto online [...]. Can't find it locally. But PRESTO is the best in my opinion.
In summary - USE THIS WITH CARE!
