Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my Roomba, but, the re-charging base isn't what I expected. My Roomba doesn't climb on and recharge itself. We've tried on both carpet and our ceramic tile floors and it just won't "climb aboard". We have to manually pick it up and place it "correctly" on the base. It's just as easy to plug it in directly and then if it's bumped, it won't lose its' contacts on the base. I rate this a 1.

You have to purchase one of these if you own a home with lots of hard-wood floors. Great vacuum!

It fixed my Roomba problem and now it is chugging right along as good as new!
If all the lights go out on your Roomba and you know the battery is good, it is this charger!

If you use a Roomba this is a must item. With it you do not need to look for your Roomba - when its charge is low it goes to the self charging home base. i think it work great.
