Buy some other bottles

I brought these bottles for my baby girl two weeks ago. I wound not recommend anyone buying them. I am going back to buy some other bottle.
1) There are too many components, total 7 pieces for each bottle. It needs to be assembled really carefully else it WILL LEAK. It takes time to assemble the bottle and if one piece is missing then it become useless.
2) It LEAKS when warming milk in warm water even after you take the nipple off. I highly suspect outside water will get into the bottle that way. A big risk factor for bacterial.
3) Bad basic design! They easily LEAK in general.
4) My baby swallow more gas with this bottle then a cheap Evenflow bottle.

Made of Dangerous Plastic!

These VentAire bottles are made from dangerous polycarbonate chemicals that can leak into the baby's formula. The same is true for Evenflo (clear), Avent, Dr. Browns, First Years, Sassy, and Tuppercare. Safer alternatives are Evenflo glass or pastel polyethylene plastic; Gerber polypropylene opaque plastic; Medela breastmilk polypropylene storage bottles and polyethylene milk storage bags; disposable bottle systems with polyethylene plastic inserts (e.g., Playtex Nurser, Playtex Drop-Ins. This information comes from the Intitute for Agriculture and Trade Policy.

Best Bottles out there

I absolutely love these bottles. I started having trouble with my milk supply after about a month of breastfeeding, so I had to start supplementing with formula and from the first bottle, my daughter had no problems taking these bottles. I did try some other bottles [...] that people had purchased for us because I only had a few of these bottles and she didn't like them. She loves these nipples because they resemble the breast.
I have had them leak a few times but that only ever happened when I was too tired and not paying attention and accidentally put them together wrong. I actually managed to put the top ring on the bottom of the bottle one night and somehow it actually worked and didn't leak. My husband only figured it out when he took it apart to wash it out. So its actually pretty hard to make these leak. A lot of stores don't seem to sell these bottles anymore but I'm buying as many as possible from wherever I can, just in case Playtex stops making them. Like I said, I love these bottles.

Best bottles hands down!

First of all disregard the review that they leak. The only way they leak is if they are put together incorrectly, and they are NOT hard to assemble correctly! They also do not warp in the dishwasher (i don't use the drying cycle on my dishwasher though) I have had the same bottles for a year and I have never had any leaking problems with any of them. Also the nipples and vents are NOT made for the dishwasher and I have always hand washed them. My son, now a year old has used these from almost day 1 and has NEVER had an issue with gas. They are a little bit of a pain to clean since you have to take them apart but they are WELL worth it! and realistically I can wash a full load of bottles all by hand in minutes. I will never use another type of bottle! I buy them for all the baby showers I have gone to since my son was born, they are the best gift even though they can be pricey!

My son initially used these while receiving supplemental formula feeds during breastfeeding, and he transitioned beautifully between nursing and this bottle. We used the slow flow nipples at the recommendation of a lactation consultant, and he took well to them. Unfortunately, I've had to switch completely to formula feeding, but my son still does really well with these bottles and nipples. However, it does leak some in my diaper bag now (after about 2 months of use). Perhaps, I should buy some new parts, but I would recommend these to others. Beware, the wide mouth bottles worked best, but my son dripped quite a bit of milk down his chin with the thinner mouth.

whether you use it to feed your baby breastmilk or formula, this wide, slow flow nipple is the closest I found to the breast. My baby transitioned easily.

I used these bottles for both of my children. I interchanged them with breastfeeding both times with success. They were used daily for feeding and as the other reviews state, they do leak occasionally. The vents can become a little worn out after time and need replaced but they are low cost and available on the Playtex website. Neither of my children experienced gas with these bottle and both were willing to take them without hesitating. With them coming apart top and bottom it allows for a thorough clean each time and faster drying. I highly recommend these bottles despite the occasional (minor) leaking. They work better than anything else I tried.

Leaks after 2 months

These bottles were really good when I first got them. They do prevent gas like they claim, but after a few months the silicone piece in the bottom sort of fails at preventing the milk from comming out of the holes. I set one of them in the fridge over night, and when I went to give it to my son there was milk EVERYWHERE. 4oz had drained to 0. I've got the bottom screwed on as tight as it will go, and it still leaks everywhere. Buying a different kind.
