I agree with the other reviewers. This is a good storage option. I used it inside of a large closet to store china. It was easy to put together and priced very reasonably.

I bought both this unit (but elswhere and for much cheaper) and the Commercial Chrome 5-Tier Shelving Unit (offered here at target.com) and I would reccomend to anyone considering buying this item to upgrade to the commercial unit if you're looking for longevity--it's much taller and can hold 500 lb per shelf as opposed to 350 as with this unit--plus this one doesn't come with casters which I have found to be very useful with my commercial unit (I use it for kitchen storage).
I was able to put this one together myself in a half hour--the instructions we very easy to follow. It looks beautiful and certainly does it's job adequately.

A decent metal rack marred by a hideous design flaw: flimsy 2-piece plastic clips that suspend each of the shelves. Plastic clips that crack at the slightest tap of the 'Rubber Mallet' that the assembly instructions call for to seat each shelf corner. The fun doesn't stop there. Once fully assembled, this rack is a literal pushover. Far too wobbly for a metal rack. Definitely a danger if children are in the house.

This shelf was easy to put together (as long as you have 2 people), and is holding up well as an extra kitchen storage shelf. The way the shelves are anchored worried me a little as we were putting it together, and a little of the chrome was flaking off already on one of the shelves, but otherwise so far so good.

My husband and I have two of these - one in our tiny galley kitchen and one inside a closet for storage. They are both really, really sturdy, you can adjust the feet to make the shelves level if your floor isn't (like at our house), and I had no problem assembling the whole thing myself... twice! The setup is very straightforward. You just have to put the plastic clamps in place and watch to make sure they stay where you want them as you slide the shelf on. A little bit of tweaking, maybe, and it's up - took me less than 10 minutes to open the box, get it out and set it up. I'm very pleased.

This item looks nice but let me tell you, it's a pain in the $&% to put together. The plastic clips that keep the shelves on the polls are warped and don't stay on the poll. I would not recommend this item at all. Really for this price, the shelving unit should be much easier to put together and of higher quality.

I bought this for my college dorm room in my sorority house, and i absolutely love it!! i store my LCD flat screen tv, dvd player, radio, and stuff for it on this and it looks amazing. so modern, and open, just perfect. also, being able to move shelves to reposition is nice for when i changed it up to fit my tv in there after having used it in my closet. Great, and if your considering it but think it may look to garagy, it doesn't, it looks great in my dormroom/bedroom with nice wooden furniture!

This is a good, sturdy shelf upon which to store and organize any number of things, esp. when space is at a premium. It is dandy as a "home entertainment center," nice and open rather than a big bulky armoire. In fact, it is just superb.
