DO NOT BUY THESE June 1, 2008 Reviewer:  MJ "MJ" (Colorado)  See all my reviews >

We bought three sets of these dishes 2 years ago. We had 12 of each. We are now down to 7 salad dishes, 8 large plates, 11, cups and 8 bowls. They break in the dishwasher, despite saying they are dishwasher safe. Those we have left are discolored and warped. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! We read the reviews, ignored them and hoped for the best and I am so sorry we did.

CHIPS CHIPS CHIPS February 8, 2009 Reviewer:  Deena (Orlando, FL)  See all my reviews >

I was so taken with the beauty of these dishes that I didn't want to believe the reviews about the chipping. I drooled over these dishes for over a year without purchasing them because of the bad reviews about chipping. Then, last year, the website stated that the dishes now have "IMPROVED CONSTRUCTION AND GLAZING FOR BETTER DURABILITY." That was what I had been waiting for, so I bought a set. Everything was fine for about 6 months. Then a skillet fell against a dish in the dishwasher and chipped my first dish. A few weeks later, one dish tapped another while being removed from the dishwasher and another chip occurred. A few days ago, another one chipped under the same circumstances. The finish should not be this brittle. I can only venture to guess that this chipping will continue until they're all chipped.

I bought my last set of dishes from Target in 1990 and I STILL have those... all unchipped! I just got bored with the style after 18 years and wanted something different. How disappointing to have invested in a new set only to find out that despite the supposed improvement, they're still having the same problems that have been being reported since first becoming available.

Lastly, while this set has a creamer accessory, it has no matching sugar bowl.

Break in your hands October 31, 2008 Reviewer:  Jenn "Sigh" (Sacramento, CA)  See all my reviews >

Awful. So so pretty, but so so cheap. And expensive at the same time, if you know what I mean.
We got 2 sets of these for our wedding. That's 8 of each pieces, and now we only have 3 of the large plates left, and 5 small plates. They crumble in your hands. We haven't dropped a single plate they just really really want to split in half. You can't stop it. It's their fate.

WORD OF ADVICE-DO NOT BUY!!!! July 1, 2009 Reviewer:  frustrated See all my reviews >

i LOVED the look of these dishes but i would not recommend them to ANYONE. within the first several days of having these "dishwasher safe" dishes they began to chip and literally break in half IN MY HAND when i would take them out of the dishwasher. we got a set from our registry and purchased another to have 8 full settings i was expecting a little more. now, a short time later, and as of a few mins ago, we are down to 3 dinner plates, 3 small plates, 6 bowls and all of the coffee mugs (we do not drink coffee). thats not too good considering we started out w 8 of everything. complete waste of money!!

Pretty but CHIPS CHIPS CHIPS !!!! April 20, 2009 Reviewer:  TexasGirl831 (Spring Texas)  See all my reviews >

I bought 12 place servings of these dishes on Thurs. Brought them home, washed them and put them in the cabinet, We used them for 1 1/2 DAYS !! They say dishwasher safe, but let me tell you, they are NOT. I had two dinner plates that chipped after using them 1 time. I promptly took them back today. If they chip after only 1 day, I could imagine what they would look like in a week.

These don't break - they are great!!! April 10, 2009 Reviewer:  Karen's happy!!! See all my reviews >

I have had these gorgeous dishes for six months now and I have not had a single one break. I did read the reviews before I bought them and I have chosen not to use the "heated dry" option on my dishwasher and rather let them air dry. I also have used them in the microwave even though they say "not recommended for microwave use" and they are fine. Not a single breakage - nothing but complements and beautiful place settings!!!

Plates break February 9, 2009 Reviewer:  D Schrader (South Bend, IN)  See all my reviews >

I bought two sets 2 - 3 years ago and am now down to 5 plates due to them breaking. I also did not notice that they are not intended for microwave use, but I've had several of the plates break in my hands and this was when they weren't in the microwave at all! I don't recommend buying these - they are not durable and not reliable. Your food could end up on the floor if you aren't carefule!

Great long lasting sturdy set November 9, 2009 Reviewer:  RR "RR" (Hope, AR)  See all my reviews >

I purchased this set for my wife 3 years ago for Christmas. We use them everyday and we have had no problems with them. She washes them in the dishwasher. We have no chips and none have broken. She absolutly loves the set.

Don't Ignore these reviews October 26, 2009 Reviewer:  clay See all my reviews >

We bought this product and not 6 months later one of the bowls bottom fell out for no reason and another plate chiped while simply putting it away. We've treated the items well and never even dropped them yet they continue to fall apart.

cheap August 21, 2009 Reviewer:  MomofOne "Becca M." (Happyville, CA)  See all my reviews >

My husband and I got these as a wedding gift, we had them on our registry because we thought they were beautiful. The bottoms of a few of our bowls fell out. And on the remaining bowls you can feel where it will happen to them. And the plates chip too easily. I just don't think they're worth the money. I wanted to have them for a long time, but it just doesn't seem that will happen :(
