Usable - but no sound...

I bought this phone for my daughter, despite seeing reviews elsewhere of battery/sound problems. We bought the product in-store and the display model was perfect. However, after a few days, the phone - like the reviews I had read - was working inproperly. I found some "tricks" to keep it going - but several weeks later, is dead to no avail.
Overall, our daughter is quite pleased with the phone, and still uses it daily. However, it is poor quality for the disfunctional sound. The product provides plenty of opportunity to teach colors, shape, and numbers depsite that, and is the only reason why I am still giving good review.

My daughter likes this toy. There is not a whole lot of variety of activities on the phone but enough to keep a 3 year old interested.

My mother-in-law bought this for my son when he was 15 months. He usually played with it by himself and although I counted with him many times, he still wasn't able to count by himself or recognize the numbers. Within one month he surprised us all by counting to 13 and the very next day I sat and watched him recognize every single number. (Winnie the Pooh asks that you find a certain number on the phone.) I can't say enough about this toy. It has been about a year and the buttons are just now starting to wear out and everyone, including our pediatrician, was amazed at how young he was to know all of his numbers.

I got this product for a gift and found out that it didn't last longer than a year. It was cute and fun while it lasted.

our son received this toy for his second birthday and within 6 months the toy was useless, it stopped working altogether after contacting the company and them telling us to replace batteries then push each button once, the toy worked for a few days then stopped altogether and nothing we have done has worked to get it fixed. This toy my son loved and was very upset when it no longer worked. We would not recommend purchasing this product

Knowing that this was planned for 2yrs plus, we still bought it for my 13 month old. He adores music and toys that make it. This caught his attention in the store, had large buttons he could hit, and music that wasn't grating to Mom and Dad. What we didn't realize is that the plastic packaging was covering the "bee" button. A big deal because that is the on/off switch. It is also the cutest button and the one my son invariably aims for. He finds it very frustrating that his toy keeps quitting. Also like most vtech toys I have been given, this cannot withstand much abuse. We have to keep the toy out of his reach and only let him play with it supervized. I gave it four stars because I think when he reaches the appropriate age, he will find this toy to be fun and just challenging enough as he plays the guided games with Pooh.

This is another gift that my son loved for Christmas! He has been making "calls" ever since we left the party. He is 2.5yrs and although he isn't ready to use the educational features that this phone has to offer, I'm glad that he will be able to grow w/this toy and it will still be fun in the future when he understands more. My other son loves it too, age 1.5yrs. It would be a gift that I could see lasting for quite awhile. Certainly a good deal for the price!
