Words can't say enough about how wonderful this high chair is. It has made going out to dinner soo easy and the portability of it and taking it apart to wash the liner is sooo easy I have washed this liner more than 10 times in the 10 months i have had this seat and the color and quality of the seat is just like new i have taken it on a cross country trip and it fit every table that we dined at while traveling with i have purchased the plastic place mats that playtex came out with and it also fits under the arms of the high chair and it doesn't effect the strength of the chair staying on the table. I have recommended this product to everyone that i know that have babies and small children. Best money you will ever spend!!!!!

Great chair for small spaces

I love our hook-on chair. We have both this one (which my nephew uses) and the hippo version, which is also great.
Our son used it from 6 months to 14 months old and it held nicely on our table. It takes up very little space, which was key for us. It was great for travel to Grandma and Grandpa's house as well, where there isn't a high chair to be used. He did grow out of it rather quickly (started to try to stand up in it) and so we got him a regular high chair at that point, but I miss using this chair. It was so convenient!
Only complaint would be that it's difficult to clean the food out of all the nooks and crannies, but that's true of any chair a kid sit in to eat!

I loved this chair until it got stuck on a table when I was 1200 miles from home. The arm would not release, and I had to have the resort saw it off their table--which I had to pay for! In looking online, this problem is common and has been reported for at least 2 years. I am so disappointed that Chicco would continue selling it with this obvious defect!
Once we got it off, we could see that the plastic "plunger" that goes up and down had burred over time. The marred plastic is what had gotten stuck. My chair has only been taken off our table around a dozen times. This seems like poor craftsmanship.

My daughter is just a bit too small for the high chairs you find at most restuarants and she no longer wants to be in her baby carrier. This seat is perfect! She gets to be up at the table with us whenever and wherever we eat. It works perfectly in booths or at our kitchen table. It folds up so it's easy to bring along. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because sometimes the bottons stick so it takes a minute to fold it up. But for us, it is worth the extra minute. We love it and best of all, our daughter loves it!

Let me start by saying I love the concept of this product. However, the arm gets stuck and while most times we're able to muscle this off a table, last weekend at a restaurant we spent more than an hour prying it off of a table. The arm got stuck so we had to break the lip of the table to get it off. Embarrassing to say the least...

Works but Not Great

My in-laws got this for when we visit. We installed it while we were there for Thanksgiving. Although one side did stick sometimes, we were able to get it off with repeated attempts (push side up, un-screw again, and try to dis-engage). One of the big drawbacks is cleaning this seat. It is fabric and not machine washable! I had to wash it in the sink about every other day because it would get dirty. Another downside is that food can fall between the table and the chair - causing a big mess! But, we did get it on two different tables with no big problems and my daughter seemed to be comfortable in it!

I love the idea of this little chair and the portability, but discovered once we put it on our table (or anyone's table for that matter), it is almost impossible to remove. The post on one side will not disengage and we are unable to return it. To remove the chair, we get out the toolbox and have to completely disassemble it. I would buy a different brand if interested in this type of chair.

We use this seat for traveling and it's a godsend. Our daughter loves it and we've had no trouble attaching or unhooking the chair from many different tables. It's also easy to clean and care for. Good buy, highly recommended.

I have had my son sitting in this since he was about 4.5 months. It sits at the counter in the middle of my kitchen where he can play with toys and watch me cook/clean/eat, whatever. He's almost 6 months now and loves it so much more since he can sit up and kick his legs (bouncing) when he gets excited. He loves it! I have not tried to take it to restaurants, it's really just another play station for him around the house, suits are needs just fine!

Portable, lightweight and not too big. My baby likes to sit and play in it while we eat and it's secure. Sometimes one of the clamps sticks, so it is harder to loosen from the table. Used on several different tables and it has fit properly.
