We just gave this to our 2- 1/2 year old Grandson for Christmas. . Thank god dinner was over as he has not left this alone for one minute.

We also added extra minature cars. It is very sturdy , and colorful. It also comes with a small magnetic train and has a wooden cover to put on top, should he just want to paint or color.

I would HIGHLY recommend this. Even their parents agree, this is awesome.

This is great because as soon as I would get the train or road tracks together for my 3 year old, he would tear them apart. He can't do anything to this and he can stand and play with it. Plus it has the great table on top so we can draw or do puzzles. Great purchase. The only downside is that the stickers don't line up. I took the advice of another reviewer, don't screw the bridges in until after you have put the stickers on. It made it really easy. Very easy to assemble.

My son got it for this 3rd bday, he is already four and still playing! great durable table, the road tracks do not come off and that makes it one of the main reasons why we bought it (those wooden train tracks were driving us crazy).lots of fun for years so you get your money's worth.

I bought this for my son at Christmas time when he was 2 1/2. He plays with it often even after 6 months!

The pros: it have "no" moving parts, meaning you will not be chasing track section all over the house, it acts as a storage area for cars and trains, works with multiple car/train options.

The cons: The bridges can be removed and don’t go back on very well; I had to buy screws to attach the bridges better. No extra activities (i.e. crane, loading doc, etc.) you cant expand on the activities.

Over all this is a great toy. Best for younger children 18 months -2.5 years if your child is much older than that I would consider a traditional track set.

I bought this for my son. He's 2 1/2. We just LOVE this table! I agree that the decals were a pain. Here's a hint for future buyers though, put the decals on BEFORE you put on the bridge pieces. My instructions had me putting the bridges on first. The decals also don't "line up" real great.

I didn't want a wooden train or car table as my son has inherited the clutz gene. I needed something he could bounce off of without too much injury. This table does well for that. It's rounded edges and permanant recessed track are less of a hazard than wooden tables and removable tracks.

I feel the construction is good as well.It's sturdy (the legs stayed on really well even without screwing them in, but we still screwed them in) and the table top is just a press board one, but it's heavier grade than others I've seen.

100% a great table! I only gave it 3 stars for education, because it's a table geared for imagination. They don't actually "learn" a lot other than how to use their imigination instead of sitting in front of a t.v. or computer!

My 4 year old son got this for Christmas 2008. It was his 'big' item from the grandparents. He's played with it daily since. I love that nothing is removable! I got so tired of stepping on his train tracks attached all over his floor, I love that he can have all the tracks ready to go. Ours are very sturdy, some others had commented that their tracks came off, but ours are impossible to even shake. PUT THE STICKERS ON FIRST! This is vital!

We keep it open all the time in the middle of his room. It has plenty of room for adults to sit down and slide their legs under to play, and we bought sliding baskets to store his cars and trains under to keep it all tidy. The graphics are so cute, there is even a landing pad for a Helicopter. I priced similar tables, and Thomas the tank tables before deciding on this one, and I'm so happy with it. It's SO sturdy, and the colors go with any room decor. Step2 products are so well made, and last a lifetime. We've never been disappointed in their products before. I highly recommend this. Even my 7 year old daughter loves to play on it with her Polly Pocket cars. It's appropriate for kids of all ages, even Big Kid dad's too!

Luckily, I bought this on sale (below retail,) but it has been the best $$$ I've spent!

I have a 2.5 year old boy & an 11 month daughter, and they both play with it! It is the ideal height & very lightweight, for which I am very grateful for since my son asks me to bring it up and down the stairs all the time!

We've often used it as a coffe table too, for snacks and activities, so easy to clean too!

Instructions don't mention it, but you should put all the stickers on BEFORE installing the bridges....just makes it a little easier!

We use to collect the Thomas The Tank wooden collections and not only were the parents stuck putting the tracks together, it was always a huge mess with all the pieces! With this, it's already put together and there is no mess and no fuss. It's light weight and can easily be moved from room to room without having to move a piece.

My son received this train table for his second birthday and hasn't stopped playing with it since. I love it because unlike other train tracks it is all one table so he can't pull it apart and there are no parts to lose.

As others mentioned there are stickers you need to apply but it wasn't difficult and I haven't had any peel off or discolor even after cleaning the table. It does include a cover which is convenient to turn it into an activity table but my son doesn't wants to part with the train tracks so we never use it.

I highly recommend this train table for anyone with a child who loves to play with cars or trains. Highly durable and entertaining all day long!
