I bought 3 sets of these dishes before moving overseas.

Although they are lovely to look at, they are EXTREMELY impractical - as anyone should soon realize

1) Though a solid plate is admirable, this plate is just too heavy , especially for young children or the elderly who wish to clear a table!

2)The dinner plates do not fit in many microwaves. This is due to the combined effect of the size and shape. A very frustrating experience

3) Doesn't anyone else have a problem with the mugs?
We have curved mouths, not straight ones; I have found that unless most of my guests drink from the corners of the mugs, they dribble on themselves

I am very disappointed in them ,but not surprised the Target still has them on the market

I purchased this set because I recently moved and wanted to re-do my dining room. I was a little wary of purchasing this set because it is all white and I thought it would be kind of plain, but I am so glad that I got over the color and purchased them anyway. The square shape makes everything I serve look beautiful! I ate cereal out of the bowl and felt like I was fine dining lol. I also love the design at the bottom of the plates and bowls. It's not visible on the site, but it was a pleasant surprise when I opened the boxes. Yes, I said boxes. Be prepared to go through about 3 boxes and lots of styrofoam beore you even get to the dishes. I was also surprised by the weight of the dishes. It's not a problem for me, but I would not have expected such heavy dishes from an outlet store. I will definitely be purchasing at least one more set.

I have been in the search for inexpensive white square dishes for about 2 years now. I have been looking at this set for more than 6 months. Hubby bought me 2 sets for Christmas and I LOVE them! they were heavier than I expected. Stacked well in the dishwasher. They microwave nice too. I did notice that they are a little uneven when stacked, but not terribly uneven on an individual basis. The square cup are different to drink from, but I can get used to it.
Only thing is I wish I could get desert plates and bowls to match. They are nice for the kids and deserts of course.

Just purchased FOUR sets ... these dishes are amazing. Perfect size and weight; will create a beautiful table for the holidays. Definitely recommend!

Everything you put on these will look so elegant. I've dropped these a few times in my sink, and there is not even a crack on them. There is a nice light line pattern on the dishes that you can't see in the picture. I've even stuck these dishes in the oven and baked on them. Very durable. The square pattern always gets compliments, but i'm partial to these in particular. You just can't go wrong!

I bought this set 2 months ago and I absolutely love them! They do have that unique design in the center which keeps them from being too plain. They are heavy, more for formal use. Everything on it does look gourmet,like someone else said. The cups are cute, wish they had saucers to go with it, but I can get those later on. I will buy another set for when company comes over. They look more like artisan dinnerware, since they're not all 100% flat, they have slight differences, but in a good way like handmade plates. They have an upscale contemporary feel without the upscale price. I would probably buy a lighter set for everyday use though. These are just too pretty to use for everyday and a little heavy. They are definitely dishwasher and microwave safe. Al in all, nice clean lines, generous size plates and makes my dining table look elegant & contemporary!

I got two sets of these as a wedding gift and I love them. They look so elegant and are perfect with any meal. The only thing I would change is that they are so heavy. I never have had problems with plates breaking, so I don't understand the need for extremely heavy plates. Maybe I'm a wimp. Ha.

My wife has been asking for square dinnerware for years. After 26 years of marriage I decided to replace our wedding dinnerware as a Christmas present. The two sets were packed so well that I wasn't concerned about anything being broken. Christmas morning she was thrilled. She said it was the best gift under the tree! The dinnerware is the same quality and weight that kept our wedding set in use and still looking good for over a quarter century. They stack well in the dishwasher too! Thanks for a great product.

I bought this set at Target,
it just looked beautiful!
Our friends came over to our house for dinner and
I used this dinnerware set.
They said it was so elegant
and so wonderful! Perfect! Just plain perfect!
