I was worried about buying this online without a review but boy am I glad I did. I wanted the stainless steel look first of all and I got more than I wished for.
I know I sound like a geek getting all excited about a can opener but compared to the Black and Decker one I had that took forever to get it to line-up and open a can plus the noise on it, this one is a dream.
The magnet on it searches for the top, you don't have to stand on one foot and hold one arm up at the same time to get it to line-up. Plus one of the nicest features is that it puts crinks in the top of the can, so when you throw away the top it's not sharp. I worry about that since my dog loves to get in the trash can, I'm afraid she'll cut herself.
Plus this can opener is so quiet. For those who have animals who come running when they hear the can opener running this is a nice reprieve. I haven't tried the knife sharpener yet but I have high hopes. This is a must for anyone looking for a can opener!

This can opener is so easy to use. It is compact but effective. The blade pops off for easy cleaning and as a bonus has a knife sharpener on the bottom. It is quite and looks nice on the countertop. If you know someone who can no longer use a hand held opener.. I highly recommend this product.

This is by far the best can opener I've ever owned. It's super quiet and sleek-looking. It never gets stuck, it grabs and opens the can with precision and easily releases the can too. Terrific value for the price.

We recieved this as a bridal shower gift and it has been great so far! I have used it plenty and have had no problems at all. It has a great look so you could leave it sitting on the counter but it is still small enough wear you could put it up easily!

My eighty year old landlord's 14 year old can opener finally died last fall and I offered to help him search the internet for a new (recommended) opener. Based on the reviews on this sight and the price I ran out and picked one up for him. He still loves it and high praise from him is hard to come by, believe me. I received a Target gift card for Christmas and the first thing I did was pick one up for myself. It's a joy to use and very quiet. I highly recommend this product.

When my old (only 2 years old) can opener no longer worked properly, I read online reviews of can openers and settled on the Oster metallic electric can opener. I purchased it online since I couldn't find it in any local stores. I am so glad I did. This can opener works great! It is easy to line up the cans to open them. It runs quieter than my previous brands, and is easy to clean. I also like the way it crimps the edge of the lid.
The knife sharpener works well and eliminates the need to get down my knife sharpener when I need to sharpen a knife.
I was somewhat disappointed in the finish, which is a dull metallic finish similar to electronic devices. It doesn't match my other stainless steel appliances, but I wouldn't trade in this can opener for anything different.
It is one of the best can openers I have ever used.
