NOT WORTH ANYTHING October 10, 2008 Reviewer:  DeDe "DeDe B" (Royersford, PA)  See all my reviews >

I bought this brewing unit to replace a Krups that had broke. I knew Mr. Coffee was the original developer so I thought it would be good. 1st it didn't come with any paper filters or a permanent 'gold' filter. So I had to to out and buy. Bought a permanent one from target which had a solid bottom (never heard of that), the coffee was awful. Bought paper filters a little improvement. Bought a gold filter and no improvement. I even set the unit on strong brew in an attempt to get a half way deicent cup. That didn't work. The coffee is week in color (almost tea color), with absolutely no flavor. Don't buy this unit at all. I have returned mine and bought a high end line.

Leaky Machine October 23, 2007 Reviewer:  Sharon S. (SC)  See all my reviews >

I have had this machine for a little under two years and it has leaked from day one. The only reason I did not take it back is that it was a gift. Water leaked from the back from the beginning and recently it has started to leak from the bottom making a huge mess on the counter. I would never buy this product again nor will I ever buy a Mr. Coffee product again.

Just Stopped Working March 13, 2009 Reviewer:  MilWife "VBD" (Almost Paradise, NC)  See all my reviews >

I also purchased this coffee maker within the last two years and loved the design and look of it, but yesterday, it just stopped working. As another review stated, everything lit up but the coffee maker never even warmed up. Very disappointing.

Short Life Span June 1, 2009 Reviewer:  ddrose (Corona, CA)  See all my reviews >

Totally agree will all the other comments. Too bad I didn't research before purchase. Loved the design. Got it home a year ago, and found it slow to brew. Over the past few months, it began to leak around the carafe band and had to use paper towels to keep leakage off the counter top and floor. This morning, all the right lights were on, but wouldn't brew and heating element pad not hot.

Our previous coffee maker worked for 5 years and cost [..]. Paid [..] for this one and it barely made it through the first year. Does anyone from Mr. Coffee read these reviews?

Coffeemaker just quit working! March 7, 2009 Reviewer:  estrstel See all my reviews >

I bought the coffeemaker at Target 1-1/2 years ago and loved it. It looked great on my kitchen counter. This week (3/2/09)it would not perk and although the controls were lit up, it did not warm up. I am very disappointed and will not purchase another like it again.

Rich in Design Poor in Quality February 18, 2009 Reviewer:  Sonya Mayfield Real Name (Chicago, IL)  See all my reviews >

I've had this coffee maker for almost 2 years. I cleaned it regularly but I noticed it started leaking about a year ago and the coffee wasn't hot when brewed. It finally quit working this morning. Not going to buy another one of these.

Keep looking August 29, 2007 Reviewer:  J. Shaffer Real Name (Pensacola, FL)  See all my reviews >

I have had this machine for about a month and the carrafe is leaking. Instead of replacing the carrafe, I'm replacing the whole thing. This is a disaster of a product.

Good for about a year and that was it. May 24, 2009 Reviewer:  Murphy Poo See all my reviews >

Initially I really liked this coffee maker. But then about 2 months ago, the carafe started to leak around the seal so when you poured the water into the tank, water ended up running down the side of the carafe and all over anything near it. I had to use a paper towel just to keep it from leaking everywhere. The final blow came when I cleaned it with a descaler made for cleaining lime and other mineral deposits from coffee makers and realized that no matter how many times I ran water through to rinse the unit, large chunks of old coffee just kept coming off in the rinse water. I inspected it and realized since the reservoir where the coffee grounds are kept hovers about the fresh water tank, if anything overflows, it overflows directly into the tank. Because the reservoir is in the way, there is no way to get in and scrub out the tank - which I realized is filthy! I ended up chucking it and buying a new one. The new one has a removable tank so I can keep it clean and free of coffee grounds!

Don't waste your money May 15, 2009 Reviewer:  Coffee-less and Angry! See all my reviews >

You are gambling if you buy this coffee maker. Too many of them just quit in too short of time. The carafe leaks water around the rim when you pour out of it. The coffee maker somehow leaves water on my counter all the time. My coffee maker lasted about 1 1/2 yrs. It just decided to quit this morning. They need to take these off the market. Too many bad ones. Don't buy it. Lots of better ones for the money.

Great coffee, poor machine longevity April 1, 2009 Reviewer:  Robin Pejsa Real Name See all my reviews >

I love the features and the taste of the coffee this coffee made with my mineralized well water. When it stopped working, I promptly replaced it with a duplicate. Now that unit 2 has died, I will be looking for something else.
