TOO SMALL!!! January 22, 2009 Reviewer:  quiltscholar (Santa Fe, NM)  See all my reviews >

If you're a size 12-14-16 before pregnancy, avoid this pillow. It's TINY. It was basically useless for breastfeeding for me - but it did work out fine for tummy time for my daughter from about 8 weeks on. Try before you buy - I had no idea they came in sizes, and now they make an adjustable one. Find a baby store where you can try out different pillows in a chair beforehand.

Great for breastfeeding and many other things January 27, 2009 Reviewer:  New Mom 19 (Panama City, FL)  See all my reviews >

Its great for breastfeeding but I still need to stuff something under the side she is feeding to get her in the right position. I also use it for support when holding and bottle feeding, my husband loves it for when he gets to feed her. I let her sleep in the boppy and have tummy time. She is only 7 weeks so I am sure I will find more uses. Over all I feel it is a must have even if you are not going to breastfeed.

Take it to the Hospital! March 8, 2009 Reviewer:  wunderkitten "wunderkitten" (Mayberry)  See all my reviews >

I "inherited" my friend's Boppy, and upon her urging I already took it to the hospital. It was a true blessing. My baby and I both didn't know how to nurse, and with the pillow it was at least easy to get her into the right position. We use it everyday, for feeding, for sleeping and cuddling on my, and my husband's lap. This pillow is a must-have.

decent September 7, 2008 Reviewer:  ryker's mommy (fremont, ca)  See all my reviews >

i registered for the boppy because of all the hype. i found that it has been a hassle during feeding as it pulls away from my body while i breastfeed and the baby falls in the gap. i went to a breastfeeding class that used the 'my brest friend' brand, and i couldn't believe how much easier it was to use! it has a back support and a strap that keeps the pillow against your body. i found that i wasn't leaning into the baby, like with the boppy, because the pillow was snug against me. there's also a bump in the pillow to support the baby's head. i'd recommend the 'my brest friend' instead. it's the same price as the boppy but for a more functional nursing pillow.

A basic baby must-have! February 20, 2009 Reviewer:  Evie's Mom See all my reviews >

This is a great pillow for nursing. Not only does it make nursing easy and comfortable for me, but my baby loves it and often falls asleep on it. I don't know what we would do without it. Plain and simple, this is a basic, must-have baby item!

Highly overrated, but not a bad product December 30, 2007 Reviewer:  Amy Anderson "amysfunny" (Los Angeles, CA)  See all my reviews >

In my opinion, this is a highly overrated and WAY over-priced item. Regular pillows do the job just fine and I found regular pillows to be so much more comfortable and flexible than the Boppy. Also, for breastfeeding, I have a VERY small chest and I found I really couldn't get the pillow and baby up close enough to me w/o the aid of some additional pillows so it was more of a hassle for me. Ahhhh... the plight of the A cup. (ok, it's ALMOST an A). And lastly, people always say another use for the Boppy is you can prop your baby up in a sitting position in the center... my baby HATED that.

Great idea but you don't need to buy the name brand April 2, 2009 Reviewer:  krissygirl "krissy" (lost in phoenix)  See all my reviews >

I love the idea of the Boppy. I had twins and one is smaller than the other. I covered the Boppy with a pillow case to allow the smaller one to rest in the ring but not sink to the bottom. The smaller baby is also more gassy and harder to burp. Sometimes the Boppy with allow him to sit/rest more comfortably and let out the gas. I do have to tell you I don't have the Boppy brand. I purchased the generic from the fabric store for 1/3 of the price of the bare . If you have any sewing skills there is a pattern on the packaging... if not, just purchase a Boppy cover. I have not used the Boppy for nursing, but like the other moms' reviews, both boys fall asleep in the Boppy. I cannot wait until the boys are bigger to use with tummy time and a support pillow.

Great, even if you're not nursing March 19, 2009 Reviewer:  guyincognito7 See all my reviews >

I've always used the Boppy for nursing my babies, and I don't know what I would do without it. I am small-chested and I really need the Boppy to elevate them to chest level to get a good, comfortable latch without me having to lean or hunch.

But what I've found is that I also have used the Boppy for times when I bottlefed my kids, and my husband sometimes used it for that, too. So, even if you plan on mainly bottle-feeding, the Boppy might come in handy for you.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because, like some reviewers said, the Boppy can sometimes start to slip away from your body while you're wearing it. It's a minor inconvenience, though, and might have only be an issue for me because I had the older Boppy version that isn't expandable at the waist, so it didn't fit me optimally. Hopefully the newer expandable ones solve that issue.

Not only good for breastfeeding - but much more! December 30, 2008 Reviewer:  Mary W (New Mexico)  See all my reviews >

My mother bought this for me as I had planned to breastfeed. My son was born a bit early and he never succesfully latched on so the pillow was never used much for nursing. But, I use the pillow for proping him up so he can look around, I use it to rest him on it on my lap - it is much more comfortable cuddling him that way. I love this pillow! Even if you aren't nursing it is still great to have in my opinion! The only drawback is if you are on the fuller side it may not be as convenient around the waist. I am pretty petite and it fits pretty snug.

Must have for nursing moms! December 26, 2008 Reviewer:  Conor's Mom "Nicole N" (Lakeland, FL)  See all my reviews >

I have been using the boppy since we brought our son home and it is wonderful. Just get a few covers and you are good to go. I haven't washed it yet so I don't know how it will hold up there.

I have also used it with a blanket over it to prop him up and take some cute pics.

Highly recommended!
