I bought this for my husband to use when outside in the hot tub. There is nothing worse than having to rush your electronic equipment inside due to rain. The case is easy to use and we love it. The only drawback would be the flashing light that occurs when you turn the volumne to the highest level.

We were looking for a waterproof player for the ipod that would go beyond just a shower buddy. We needed something that would play an ipod and keep it waterproof for when we went to the lake or on float trips. This was the answer to everything!! This device is great! It securely holds the ipod inside a waterproof area. The speakers look dinky at about 2 inches, but the sound, in comparison, is pretty darn good. It's got pretty good high and low range. We were pleasantly surprised. It's compact. It comes with a shower head holder, or straps that can be adjusted to just sling over a shoulder, and also has ability to stand on its own without needing to just be propped against something.

It has to date survived 3 camping trips, 3 float trips, and 1 or 2 lake trips. The case is pretty rugged and can survive the occasional drop (it is made of plastic so any type of force will of course crack it) but it is durable. We are by no means babying this thing, and it still sounds great! The whole thing, speakers included, can just be wiped down if gets dirty. Lol, it even played underwater.
This case is neat! If anyone is wanting to waterproof their ipod, (or even other mp3 players as long as it has a headphone jack) this is your answer! It's great for in the shower, and survives in the elements! I highly recommend this! I would've given 10 stars if possible!!

I purchased this item on clearance for $at Target. It looks good and initially sounds good. However, because it is supposedly waterproof (I didn't check that out, but other reviews say it's not), there is no ventilation. After a while in the sun, it heats your ipod up so hot that you cannot hold it. Meanwhile, because the air inside the unit has expanded, the speakers can no longer vibrate and it gets quieter and quieter until you can barely hear it. Once you open up the compartment that holds your ipod it releases the hot air and the volume returns to normal. And you WILL have to open it up to scroll through your playlists because the click-wheel doesn't work through the diaphram. Overall, this unit looks good, but you won't be able to use it the way it is intended and there is no a/c adapter, so you probably won't want it sitting on your nightstand burning up batteries. To top it all off, Target will take your money but they don't want to stand behind the bad product they're selling. Be prepared to be VERY assertive and ask for a manager if you want to get your money back because they have a new policy of not refunding for products that have been "used".

i bought this for my little sister since she likes to listen to her music in the shower. she loves it and takes it with her every day to the shower. She still has not tried it in the pool but, i am sure it works there too.
