My 6 year-old saw this backpack while "Back to School" shopping and absolutely had to have it. He is in 1st grade, so isn't toting all that much back and forth to school, and never has to carry textbooks. By December, it was falling apart. The fabric had faded terribly (true, their class keeps their backpacks outside the room, but it is shaded by an overhang, and I never noticed fading on other children's bags, including my other son who has a different backpack), and the main side seam had completely split open and was beyond repair.

Now I have a very upset 6 year-old and need to shop for a new backpack only 4 months into the school year.

We bought this backpack for our 4th grader to use in school because they have to carry all their things with them. After 4 weeks of school it started falling apart. It has big holes in the bottom and is coming unsewn on most of the seams. The handle is also not working properly.
